Voter ignorance is a voter going to the booth to just say they voted. Or one that only knows the candidates for the presidency, and pokes the rest of the holes not knowing any stands or views of other candidates for the position.

I lot of nuckleheads say noone should be denied the right to vote because of thier ignorance of the Constitution "because no one should be denied the right, period". Then do you think the mentally retarted, admitted serial killers, 10 year olds and non citizens should be able to vote? ... oh! and even republicans?
Id rather have a retarted 10year old sereal killer from Jamaica -that understands the Constitution vote then anyone who says "yes"

With his bullet proof vest, surrounded by soldiers, with helicopters above him, trying to convince everyone including himself it was safe there? I believe reporter Michael Ware of CNN has a better idea what's going on over there. He's been living over there for a couple of years!

Was the last election just about the war?

Are they counting on a larger political "sea change" that isn't really there?

Are they expecting to ride that wave?

(This question isn't about gender/color changes in the presidency)

Is this a ploy by Jackson trying to get on the ticket if Obama is nominated and possibly getting Al Sharpton in as Secretary of State.

Proportional representation results in congressional delegations that more closely represent the political leanings of the voters. It would reduce the importance of the two major parties and give smaller parties the ability to successfully field candidates. Ending winner-take-all elections would ensure that more of the population would have the representation they desire instead of a compromise.

Candidates focus only on a handful of contested states and ignore the concerns of tens of millions of Americans living in other states.

A candidate can lose in 39 states, but still win the Presidency.

A candidate can lose the popular vote by more than 10 million votes, but still win the Presidency.

A candidate can win 20 million votes in the general election, but win zero electoral votes, as happened to Ross Perot in 1992.

In most states, the candidate who wins a state’s election, wins all of that state’s electoral votes, no matter the winning margin, which can disenfranchise those who supported the losing candidate.

A candidate can win a state’s vote, but an elector can refuse to represent the will of a majority of the voters in that state by voting arbitrarily for the losing candidate (this has reportedly happened 9 times since 1820).

Smaller states have a disproportionate advantage over larger states because of the two “constant” or “senatorial” electors assigned to each state.

A tie in the Electoral College is decided by a single vote from each state’s delegation in the House of Representatives, which would unfairly grant California’s 36 million residents equal status with Wyoming’s 500,000 residents.

In case of such a tie, House members are not bound to support the candidate who won their state’s election, which has the potential to further distort the will of the majority.

Names, addresses, and political party are a matter of public record for purchase in the U.S. Just like phone numbers. Anonymous voting is what we preach to everyone. But, is it possible in the U.S.

Me and tousands more like me, are sick of this back and forth empty political jargon. Why can't some Ross Perot-esque (well maybe not Perot) Why can't some third party hero come riding down the middle and slam dunk a political election? Is the system that flawed?

Why is it beyond the comprehension of the hate-speak Far Left Wing Hyper-Liberal Ideologs, that their actions, irrational blather, and party-line Bush Hate obession has become as pitiful as it is proving to be self defeating!

John Q. Public listens to the lunacy of Rosie O'Donnel, the absolute hypocrisy of Al Gore, the in-fighting between Hillary and Osama Obama. And when one looks at War Chests of 10's of millions and consider who gave what and in what amount then one can know ... who's who in the Zoo!

GOP in '08 ... for sure, who in their right mind would vote Democrat unless it were a true Moderate but they are rare
these days! Most Dems are from a planet Left of the planet Pelosi!

Any ideas? Why The Democrats are favoring the failure of America's Forces in Iraq besides destroying Bush at any cost? Beyond comprehension?

Why are there not more women and people of color in Congress?

It's 2007 and most members of the US Senate and House of Represetatives are still white males. Women and people of color have been allowed to run for office for decades, so it's not a legal issue anymore.
