With his bullet proof vest, surrounded by soldiers, with helicopters above him, trying to convince everyone including himself it was safe there? I believe reporter Michael Ware of CNN has a better idea what's going on over there. He's been living over there for a couple of years!

McCain and the other Repugs with him looked like the lame liars that they are. Sure, anywhere is relatively safe if you are accompanied by 100 soldiers and several Blackhawk and Apache helicopters.

I really liked it when they were crowing about how Iraqi shopkeepers wouldn't take their money. Idiots! They were probably scared sh!tless and thought if they gave them gifts they would go away. These guys went on a boondoggle to get some free carpets from frightened storeowners. If a Dem took free gifts, you know the repugs would be condemning that as stealing or corruption.

Did McCain ever actually leave Emerald City (the Green Zone)? Until he does that, and walks around in Baghdad without body armor and without an armed escort, all his talk about improvement is just that: talk.

I thought the video of McCain walking through that Baghdad market was sad. It was hard to look at this great American going to those lengths to kick-start a failing campaign.

I think John McCain would look like an idiot walking around Iraq unprotected without an army escort.

No he looked fine. I think my son has a better idea of what's going on over there, as he was in combat there for two years not making up reports for CNN!
