Hillary is a political whore who fawned all over a KNOWN terrorist (Yasser Arafat), it was DISGUSTING to see an American citizen act like that, let alone the First Lady. The woman is a nut, look at her eyes when she talks, I'm predicting a melt down of the same magnitude of Howard Dean......

Clinton was a "good" president? He was hands down the most corrupt president this country has ever seen. Pardons for sale, missile technology for sale to a communist country, hell, "Anything for a buck".

Bill Clinton was a good president??? The man committed perjury!! He lied to a federal jury. Not to mention, how many times was our country attacked while he was president?? And what did he do about it??

As for him and Hillary having a High IQ, I can see that. After all they did come up with more creative ways to say "I don't know" to the jury than a whole team of experts.

But why would anyone want her in the White House??? I have friends who personally know the Clintons, and they said the woman in a witch! She'll fly off the handle for no reason and will carry a grudge for months at a time. Yeah, lets make her president.

Well, I am not a Democrat, but I am on the left. Let me say first that I think she will win the Democratic nomination barring any unforeseen circumstances. That is not an endorsement of her campaign--merely an acknowledgement of her political skills, connections, and favors owed to her. Much of the Party apparatus is set up to help her achieve top billing on the Presidential ticket.

Moreover, if we remove the kind of virulent ad hominem attacks that I have seen here and elsewhere, I think people have to acknowledge both her intelligence and her skills as a politician. She has deftly inserted herself into the New York political scene and has by all accounts been a highly effective and nuanced elected offficial.

That said, however, I don't think she would win a general election, were she nominated. In spite of what the right may say of her husband, the former President was and still is extraordinarily popular. His political fortunes help Hillary, but not--I think--enough. There are two major strikes against her.

First, she lacks the charisma of empathy that Bill Clinton projected so easily and so well. Love him or hate him, Bill Clinton was perhaps the most gifted public leader in decades. He made Reagan, in the words of Marlin Fitzwater (Reagan's White House Press Secretary), look like a piker. Hillary lacks the warmth, the empathy, the ease that her husband possessed. She does not project caring or understanding, whatever her policies are.

Second, she--like her husband--is a polarizing figure. Some love her irrationally and others despise her with an equally unreasonable (and unfathomable) hatred.

That in itself would not necessarily mean defeat--witness George Bush's elections--but 2006 was in many ways a reaction AGAINST polarizing figures. Independents, who are increasingly important in determining the outcome of elections, generally find the vindictive and bitter politics of the last 15 years destructive and counterproductive. They may very likely reject Hillary not because of her politics, but because the way she is perceived by extremists on both ends of the political spectrum.

So in the end, I think she would lose the general election. America is, I think, ready for a woman president. But I don't think it's ready for Hillary Clinton.

...I wouldn't vote for her if she were the only one running. The Clintons are accomplished liars, who somehow missed out on jail, probably mostly due to spineless Republicans who cared more about saving their own skins than looking after the country.
...Someone else said here that "Hillary Clinton will be an outstanding President. The combination of the two have the highest IQ of any political couple." They have the morals of alley cats and will bring in all kinds of social programs and new taxes (to redistribute your wealth), since they believe that government knows better than you how to run your life.
...What about Mrs. Clinton as Commander-in-Chief? How unthinkable and a pitiful thought.
...What experience has Ms. Clinton had? Being a former first lady is meaningless. A one-time senator re-elected - not much there.
...Don't do it, America. We can do so much better than Hillary Clinton for President.
...I hope Mr. Newt Gingrich runs and wins.

Hillary Clinton will be an outstanding President. The combination of the two have the highest IQ of any political couple.

America flourished during the Clinton years. Hillary will continue on the dream they had of a prosperous and strong America.

What are you on? Paved the way cause he was a good president?

Mmmm, I don't think I'll be voting for her.

It could and will get worse if Hillary or any Democrat is elected and surrenders to our enemies.

Former President Bill Clinton was voted one of the worst presidents of the U.S.
Type in your search bar worst and best presidents and it shows you there.
That has no moral regard to how I feel about his wife Hilary Clinton however I would not vote for her as president of the United States of America. I personally feel, that gut feeling, it would be a huge mistake.

The 21st century is ready for a woman to lead, provided that the woman isn't Hilary. As a New Yorker, we've suffered tremendously under her leadership as a senator; and i shudder to think of how quickly she would run this country into the ground. I'm a very liberal guy, but whenever i think of her, i get nauseous. Now our Secretary of State would make a decent candidate. Food For Thought.

Actually it could get much much worse and if America continues in it's current path of hatred, it will get worse very quickly. These are critical times in the world and the last thing we need is an angry, mouthy president. Most anyone would be better than power hungry Hillary.
