It's recently discovered that the ancestors of Senator Barack Obama's white mother were likely to be slave owners. In other words they owned black slaves, the ancestors of today's African Americans.

Will that discovery hurt the senator's chances for the presidential nomination at all, especially among African Americans? Or will it make the senator more human as we all have ancestors who did something that might have been acceptable way back when but it's no longer acceptable by today's standards?

Also, do you think if he's nomonated that the Republican side will use this as propaganda to smear him among minority voters?

I have no idea what Hillary stands for. She never really answers a question and to me seems to say anything to get votes. I think she is to weak to be president though I am not against her as a woman I think she is weak to allow Bill to abuse her they way he does. Why in the world does she put up with it? What a bad role model.

If you believe in personal responsibility how do you justify who you vote for in congress?

Dollar Bill Jefferson has been elected nine times even though he is on tape admitting to all of the crimes. Does this mean that people in LA do not believe in personal responsibility?

Examples of this are endless.

Even as a Dem, I'm gagging over which candidates are likely to get thru the primaries.
Hillary? she's unelectable, and i wouldn't vote for her anyway.
Obama? too young, inexperienced in D.C. workings.
Edwards? too provincial, not exactly a JFK statesman.
The Repubs are no better:
Rudy - unelectable, too much scandal in his past.
Romney - a wacko.
McCain - maybe the least objectionable of the lot.

Please don't tell me these are the best and brightest people in our country, I know for a fact they are not.

I am seriously considering a run for the Presidency, but I am a virtual unknown. Yet I have a comprehensive plan for America (which you can read here if you would like:http://360.yahoo.com/profile-IuQ4qNEwcrQeja.rnLqnwObqvHL7). I simply need to know how many of you are sick of the same old garbage we get from our politicians, and would actually have the guts to vote for someone who is going to make a difference for the better?
Please take the time to read my Presidential platform (http://360.yahoo.com/profile-IuQ4qNEwcrQeja.rnLqnwObqvHL7) and tell me if you would vote for me. I know it is quite long, but hey at least you know where I stand on the issues, unlike so many other candidates, and you would have a good idea what you are voting for.

If any candidate wants my vote they are going to have to prove themselves by forcing congress to bring forth charges against our current president for breaking the laws of our constitution, and Bill of Rights. Then I will consider voting for them because they have exhibited that they refuse to follow in the foot steps of our current president. After almost thirty years of voting, I would like for once to be able to vote for a real candidate for the people, and of the people.

I find it so funny that the people on this site go back and forth over Republican and Democrat. They are just different wings on the same bird. Both are pro big government. Both end up raising your taxes. Both take away your freedoms.

Although most people will vote for her just because she is almost like the strongest liberal out there, some people might vote for her just because she is a woman. It's an upsetting concept, but it could happen.
