Yes. Some disorders, such as "Imademocrat" are quite common and often appear at voting booths. The condition is a little amusing at times but flares up to near pure stupidity levels around election time.

In Ohio they are allowed to register to vote. They're are many people with Mental Retardation who actually do follow the news and understand to a point. And probably make a better decision than some typical people sometimes. I'm not saying they all register to vote but that is their right to do so.

wow... all these answers are mostly dissing Bush. a couple are dissing democrats. Anyway, yes mentally challenged people are allowed to vote. And if you ask me, it's pointless to vote since the electoral college selects who wins anyway... There have been several times in history where our votes did not matter, and one of those times was when Bush was elected. What's that telling ya?

good question,when a person registers to vote the determintion could be made then .I know a store wont sell alcahol if the I.D. stipulates (otherwise ) i.e. diminshed capicity

Yes. I work with DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED people, and I have taken them to vote. It is their right. They are not called mentally retarded anymore.

I would bet that most are democrats, that party seems to attract people who avoid deep thought.
I don't know for sure, but I would think they are just as entitled to civil liberties as I am. If they aren't I would certainly be shocked.
