"The Pew Research Center says despite the conventional shorthand of "red America" and "blue America" most Americans can't be characterized as either liberal or conservative, according to a survey released last month.

Pew concluded that 'despite talk of culture wars' there has been no polarization of the public into liberal an conservative camps.' "

I really don't want to have to print off a form and mail it or have to go to the court house. I heard there was a .gov website I could use to register myself.

Is choosing the president a rationnal choice?
What are the criterias? How to measure it?

How can be sure that people make a rational vote choosing their candidate?

Does it means people need to have education (do you need special diploma to vote?)?
Do they have to have better IQ than average (which would mean you should not been allowed to vote below 100 IQ!)?

Or simply the fact that the candidates are supposed to be elected by their people is enough to guarantee its quality?

Or should we count only on statistics and pray ?

The United States House voted last week to require Americans to show proof of citizenship in order to vote.

Democrats state the legislation would disenfranchise minorities, the poor and the elderly – who might have difficulty producing identification.

My own common sense question is "How do people without ID cash a check or show they are old enough to buy cigarettes or a lottery ticket(both require you be over 18) ?"

They can't live in a vacuum or they won't want to vote.

I can't even write a check at the store without showing proof of who I am . I can't walk into a branch office of my own bank to cash a check without showing ID. You go into a Rentway or Circuit City to finance anything they want ID.

I'm not wealthy so I can sympathize but asking for ID seems a small price to pay for the right to vote.

Wouldn't it be nice to return to the "Golden 90's"? When gas was cheap, fear mongering wasn't the news, and the US wasn't trotting about the globe killing for Jesus and oil.

She is smart, funny and what America needs right now. Especially after the BUSH fiasco (a complete and ignominious failure) for those who need to know the meaning of the word!!!!
