Well, to your central point, the right to criticize our elected officials is the one most important thing that makes us free, which sets us apart from most other countries of the world. More generally, I do think, sometimes, that we have moved far beyond the spirit of the Bill of Rights, which laid out the rights and freedoms Americans have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, since 1791. What's happened in the last generation is that, through the capricious nature of the court system, various other "rights" have been invented or pulled out of thin air--for example, the right to privacy, which is the basis for the "right" to murder unborn children. In creating these extra-constitutional rights, liberal judges have succeeded in diluting, even appearing to diminish, our other, legitimate rights.

Then again, as Winston Smith said in Orwell's 1984, "Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows."

TOO MUCH FREEDOM? TOO LITTLE Freedom would be more like it. This is one of the GREATS things about OUR nation. We STILL have FREEDOM of Speech. BUT I can see people with your attitude that don't like what I say about this EXCUSE of a president that I am wrong and I or is it WE should lose this RIGHT that WEE all have here in the USA. Thats right now, but it sounds like this is another FREEDOM we will lose if you have any say in the matter. The EXCUSE OF A PRESIDENT that WE have here in the USA SUCKS. Oh he likes sheep too. LOL

your people had more freedom years ago except for in a few small areas but they fought hard battles for that freedom. Many of your people were killed by your own government. The most important and most famous being at the battle of Kent State University where they were gunned down by national guard soldiers for waving flowers. You people need to start again.
Your elections have become a joke, both parties have the same corporate masters, they dine from they same tables and do the same things. they only provide the illusion of choice. Like a puppeteer staging an argument with two hand puppets and asking who you agree with.

Not enough freedom here- corporations running everything, determining the price of gas, utilities, etc. keeping the poor stil poor and the rich richer!

The US is also VERY prude in matters of sex (thus the excess violence leaking out all over).

It's ok to talk bad about the president- if he's deceiving the people for coporation and lobbyist's sake, we have the right to fire him.

We can't even go to town without a seat belt on. Who has too much freedom....

We need to revoke 1/2 the laws and we still wouldn't have enough freedome.

In my old country we were able to buy cold medicine over the counter. In my old country we were able to buy a book without being put on some government agencies list. In my old country a wiretap had to be authorized by a judge. In my old country, the city could not take away your family home from you to build a shopping mall.
