I thought it said a government by the people, of the people, and for the people, but the government wants us to believe we work for them. Has anyone read the constitution, where it says that if the president becomes singlemindedness of purpose, to the exclusion of anything else, that it is not only our right, but our duty to replace him with one who has the interests of the people at heart? Please read the constitution, and see for yourself, I might have misunderstood.

I will be truly impressed if anyone can top this:

I'm extremely hazy on just what happened, but about a year ago I woke up in an alley behind a tatoo parlor south of the border. My wallet was gone, and there was a name I can't pronounce tattoed on my arm.

This would be funny to me normally, but I just got served with a paternity suit. And the name on the suit matches the one on my arm.

So it would really make me feel better to hear that there are people who have done something more stupid than that while under the influence.

It's off-year election time again. We desperately need for everyone who is eligible to take an active part in the voting process. For one thing, it gets these people more interested and actively involved with what is going on around them, writing letters to the editor of their local newspaper or to their congressmen or to the President is an example. Voting makes America strong. It sends signals to Washington that people DO care about their government and how it is run. It sends signals to governments overseas.

Right now, the signal we have sent is that Washington can do as it pleases. Nobody cares!

I am the Vice President of our Homeowner's Association. The president has resigned. Our By-Laws state that each year the Vice President automatically becomes President. We have 3 months until new election for the 2006/2007 year. I will have to assume the role of President now that the President has resigned. Is there precedence to whether I will automatically continue as President in the 2006/2007 year? This is a new situation for our Homeowner's Association. The reason we structured the By-Laws this way is so the incoming President will be familiar with the board and the current business of the board.

Australians are fined for not voting. People have the option of spoiling their paper in the UK which equals "none of the above", therefore should people be fined for not taking their part in democracy? Would it make elections more credible?

Which is more disrespectful? I have been seeing flags hanging in tatters - faded and torn. These people are not making a statement, they just don't care enough to care for the flag.

It makes me sick at heart. I have never seen anyone burn a flag.
I wonder which would feel worse?
