Good comments team!!

Per previous comment; underachieving slackers are people who don't take the time to get facts correct and engage in the poltical process and the tremedous opportunity America provides every person. They typically are in fact are left and complain about how unfair everything is. Bush lied Kids died!

because people who like to hug trees also like to hug keyboards. We save the world from the safety of our local college coffee house....while our rich parents soak up all of our natural resources. In the mean time to save the planet I'm going to pierce my nose, dye my hair blue and move to San Francisco where I can hug Redwoods and smell like patchouli

Because the culture we live in today revolves around communication. Our children are wired into the world around us, bombarded with technology and music, video and radio, and advertising revenue ensures that everything will be as flashy, catchy, and as big an attention getter as it can be.

As a result, people rally around technology in droves. Being social creatures who crave interaction on a primal level, we also look for community. Here at Yahoo Answers, we have an interesting mix of both.

Your smartest quips, your deepest thoughts, and your most troubling questions can be shared and viewed by people all over the world, in a simple, fast, and interesting format.

Combine that with a method of comparing answers against each other, we even have friendly competition. People racing to see how fast they can reach level 2, 3, or in my case, a continual drive for quality. I could slap out 40 stupid answers a day, and read dozens of useless questions, but that's not really the point of the internet. The Internet exists to transfer information. If I answer 4 questions a day, and all reach "best answer", then I have not only achieved success within the game, but also filled in a blank in a universal consciousness.

That's a win-win situation.

Not all of us are "underachieving slackers". Some of us are in constant pursuits to improve, not only our lives, but also to give helpful advise. I am very cognisant that there are quite a few people of lower intelligent quotients, but at least they are attempting to make a difference.

I'm going to bet your a republican, please prove me wrong.. Chucky is a Republican, I play golf with him every Tuesday. Chucky had his Mom and Dad pay for his college. Chucky manages our local Mall.
In college all he done was chase girls and drink beer. Chucky in fact has never worked a day in his life. He has never come home with dirty pants and dirty hands. He has never come home with his back and legs hurting so much he can barely walk. Chucky ask others to do his work for him. I am a brick layer, define "work" and define the term "underachieving slacker".
BTW are you Chucky?
