Here's the actual question I am asking: Is it my patriotic and civic duty as an American to "support our troops" by not protesting against the war in Iraq which has killed thousands of Iraqi civilians since day one of Operation Shock and Awe?

PLEASE answer this question by saying Yes, No, and (most importantly) WHY. I do not care if you call yourself a liberal, conservative, democrat, republican, or communist chinaman.

Please--if you can't answer the question in the above manner without abusing me find another question to answer (there are plenty to be answered).

Sure glad we have someone to harvest our crops and put food on my table. With falling health I am not able to produce a big enough garden to provide for my family.
Alot people are not grateful enough and resort to name calling and bashing rather than giving ideas
to resolve problems without violence. But that is how the simple minded work.
If only they believed in karma before it flew up and hit them in the face.
Again than you Mexico for being good neighbors
maybe we can work together to resolve our issues.
Anyone want resort to name calling or bashing my
msg link is provided and if I am not on just leave me a off line msg,for I will return to sender..

It is a fact that there has been no successful terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq. Do Americans see the reason for this as (a.) a CORRELATION (i.e., coincidental) OR as (b.) a CAUSE AND EFFECT relationship (i.e., Americans know the difference between a correlation and cause-and-effect relationship and have ample evidence of the cause and effect relationship between the war in Iraq and there being no terror attacks in the USA since this war began)?

These are Cheneys words “This conflict is a long way from over," Cheney said at a fund raising appearance for a GOP congressional candidate. "It's going to be a battle that will last for a very long time. It is absolutely essential that we stay the course."

Everytime I post an argument against the war in Iraq, if they don't reply with sheer abuse and harrassment, somebody always provides a stock reply that sounds like it was created by a military recruiter. It goes something like this:

"Our troops are fighting for our freedom. They are fighting terrorists to make you safer, so you should be proud of them. They are under orders to serve their country, and Bush is their commander in chief, so they obey. If you were a soldier fighting for your country maybe you'd understand."

(See more details about my question below before you answer.)
