I'm sure everyone's heard about this story by now. It has generated a LOAD of feedback all across the internet. Alot of hate, alot of anti-government propagandizing, and alot of 'ignorant' responses.

Here's my angle.. If the subject is visibly unarmed, and it is clear you could grab him and take him outside, what does using a taser achieve, other than punishing him?

For the naysayers, if your security/police force of 5 officers can't subdue and remove 1 skinny student displaying passive resistance, you need to replace them.

If so, what is the rational for such a portrayal?

So lets say that you are driving at night around bar hours. IF you get pulled over Im assuming the cops will ask you if you have been drinking bec of the time. If they ask you to do the sobriety tests can you just refuse and say just skip ahead and give me a breathalizer instead. I personally think those tests are so stupid. Who can walk a perfectly straight line in heels, and I cant say the alphabet backwards. Would you get in trouble if you said no Im not doing those just give me a breathalizer?

I notice that some guys out on bail fail to appear as they promised for their trial.

My suggestion: if you fail to appear, the presumption of guilt changes from innocent to guilty absent a showing that your failure to appear was uncontrollable [hospitalized or jailed elsewhere].

Any discussion?

Limbaugh on his radio show referred to soldiers who speak out against the war in Iraq as "phony soldiers." O'Reilly was impressed with how civil the African-American customers were at Sylvia's Restaurant in Harlem. They didn't beat their wifes in public or scream obscenties, and they even used forks and knives. O'Reilly meant well. He was trying to dispell racial stereotypes, but it came out as patronizing and naive. Having served in Vietnam as a young Marine, I find Limbaugh's remarks more offensive. It galls me that anyone who has never served a day in our military should call anyone a 'phony soldier.'

While in Florida i noticed all the restaurants offered free meals for military service people past and present for their selfless dedication to their country. This wasnt the only show of appreciation for the military and made me wonder whether we treat OUR boys and girls who fight for their contry with the same appreciation?

Is there a chance that the government might comply with the demands and also release that person? I know that they don't want a person to die in their custody. I heard that hunger strikes are the most powerful tools for social change. If I ever get arrested I plan on doing this. I will go on a hunger strike and demand a CNN interview or else I won't eat.

Weather you think Al Qaeda was in Iraq before we went in there or not, the fact is they are there now and we are fighting them now. This is the group responsible for the attacks on our nation on 9/11 for those who have forgotten. (please conspiracy theorists... feel free to share your theory that it was that GWB that did it... I love the comedy of it all.)

I constantly see the libs saying we should be going after those responsible. Hello... are we not fighting them now... In Iraq? We are not fighting the evil Iraqi regime... we took that out years ago.... so who are we fighting? Al Qaeda.... Is this not the people we want to go after? What is the problem? Is it just about the location?

Yes we are also fighting Iran and perhaps hamas, who declared war on us by jumping in by their own free will, so don't cry when we give them a thumping.

If we are fighting Al Qaeda in Iraq... why does the left want to pull out so bad?

I never see in my life a real time censure when I watch all the Republican debates by Fox, CNN and ABC. The only debate was fair in my opinion it was by Forum PBS .
Or the media want to sell us their candidate?

Isn't it true that school should only teach the tools for communication, mathematics, history, and science?

Should not religion, homosexuality, and other philosophical ideologies be taught in the home and not to every child mandated to attend school?

In other words, why should another's child be force fed ones religion or sexual preferences at tax payer's expense?

I'm running for 6th grade ASB president and I wrote a rough draft of my speech.tell me what you think and if you have any recommendations tell me :] i still need a good closing sentence.

Hi, my name is Patricia and I would like to be your next 6th grade ASB president. There are many reasons I believe I should be president, and I would like to share them with you. In the past, I have encountered people who, in the process of running for office, promise our fellow students what they know will not be granted. I am completely honest and will tell all of you right this instant that I will not grant whatever you want, for it is just a manner of bribery which I believe will get me nowhere. I believe that there are many ways to make school an educational, but fun environment. I think I should be president because I am responsible and truthful. I find that this is an opportunity to try something productive in school. I am hardworking and committed to this position and would try my best to balance my school work as well. I am aware that this position is not an easy job and that it requires time and effort which I am willing to give.

It's sick how many people think he shouldn't get a dime back. He's not a professional smuggler, drug dealer or scam artist. He's an illegal immigrant that just came here to work and help out his family. I even read someone write that $59,000 isn't a whole lot of money, so what's the big deal? OMG, do you not realize this man worked 11 years for this? Not everyone has millions in their trust fund like you?

This isn't the same kind of illegal like killing someone, smuggling drugs or robbing a bank; it's just being in the country without the government's knowledge. It's done all over the world, and no one really will put you behind bars like a criminal for it.

Give the man back his money, this is wrong.

OK let's say they get arrested and when they are booking them they refuse to say anything. Do they put them in a cell until they talk? What if they refuse to talk for years? Could they die at the police station?

Roger Nash Baldwin - the founding, long time, director of ACLU. Born to wealth, at the time of the founding, he was deeply involved in the communist movement. As late as 1935, he gave a speech stating that his political vision was communist. During the 1940s, Baldwin would participate in the purging of communists from ACLU, against a lot of opposition, and, in the 1950s, endorsed the work of Sen. Joseph McCarthy.

Like I've said before, the Aclu is a radical communist lawyer organization for the criminals, terrorists, druggies, porno pervs, and anti-American haters.

And they're a radical lawyer organization by the criminals, terrorists, druggies, porno perves, and anti- American haters.

They should be disbanded for crimes against America.

They're doing more harm to this nation than good.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

So, stop wearing your hat backwards and turn off the porn.

This is the survival of America we're dealing with.

Dont be a dummy.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
