Key Bush backers rally to Fred Thompson

Fred Thompson has signed on high-profile supporters.

George P. Bush, a nephew of President Bush, has contributed to the prospective presidential campaign of Fred Thompson and signed an e-mail asking friends and associates to do the same, The Politico has learned.

"In a field of candidates without a clear favorite among our fellow Republicans, my sincere hope is that you consider joining us in this effort to encourage Fred to run," the e-mail says.

The involvement of a Bush family member highlights a stream of former Bush-Cheney aides and supporters who are signing on with Thompson, in some cases quietly.

as i child during the 80s i remember that RAF fighters often overflew my house quite regularly at least a dozen times a week, now you see hardly any it certainly decreased during the 90s now your lucky to see an RAF lynx let alone a Tornado.

im curious as to the reason behind this decrease of either patrol or training flights, is it simply due to the end of the cold war? be interesting to know

I was reading the Toronto Star (Canadian Paper) and it had an article about some famous teacher charged with having sex with a 14 yr old student.

But then it said that sex between an adult and a child 14 yrs old and over is LEGAL as long as the adult is not in a position of authority over her.

Do you think its a misprint on the papers part cause I dont think its legal. Does anyone know or is this craziness true?

As an Ameircan, I am constantly amazed at the number of ships on display in our military bases that were once British. for example, the HMS Macedonian. The Macedonian was defeated at sea by the USS United States, was brought into port, and became the USS Macedonian. The guns from the Macedonian are on display at the United States Naval Academy.

Do all British ships eventually become property of the United States?
