You people are so funny that I can't stop laughing. Not one person here is showing any brain power including the the questioner.
As a Native American, we have always been taught to live of the bounty that the land gives and to give back to the land that she may continue to prosper. We do not own the land but, try to live in harmony with it. We do not want your polluted lakes and streams, concrete jungles, and skyscrapers that block out nature. By saying that we would still be living in mud huts, I think you mean to say that we would still be living with the land and taking care of it so that it will continue to support us. Why do you only call the english immigrants? We are all immigrants through our ancestors whether we are English, German, Irish, Spanish, and every other nationality or people. To answer your question, Don't do us any favors, white man.
As to saying that "all the native Americans are dead", I can only say that you watch way too much t.v. If you were born in America, you are a Native American. If you are referring to the American Indian, I say that you don't get out much do you?
We are still here. A few tribes have been wiped out through diluted breeding but, we are still here.

Where would that leave people like me? My grandmother was a Native American so would I give back part of my land and if so how much? If the English had to leave the country would I have to live in Europe part of the year and then live in America the rest of the year? To answer your question No.

It's sad to see how everyone was displaced all those years ago. We thought it was decided years ago. The reservations are tax free and have many other advantages that will continue.... The reservations with gambling casinos are some of the most grand. As the generations pass growth in population forces us to revisit the question. What land? Where? The real answer is... Who knows? Maybe never.

I'm English and will reserve judgement until I see see who wins, cowboys or Indians.
I'm sure most English people would gladly give the land back - I don't know what the American public would feel about that.

"Rightful" goes to the conquerer. Sad but true. The Native Americans were lucky to have reservation land instead of being forced to get out entirely or become totally nomadic.

The Indians of North America are sure being treated better than the different Indian tribes are being treated in Mexico and the rest of Latin America!
Haven't you seen all of the casinos being built on Indian land all over North America?
The Mexican gangs are targeting the Indian Reservations throughout North America for their drug sales. In the mid 90s, they gave out free samples of crystal meth to get the Indians hooked and then they completely infiltrated and addicted thousands of Indians to that poison!
Where are the Indian reservations in Mexico ?!!!!!!
The oppressed Indians of Mexico are being forced off their native lands in Mexico and traveling in large numbers to the U.S. Many of them don't even speak Spanish!
Ask the Native Alaskans if they would take their chances with any other government!
Ask any Native American if they would take their chances with any other government!
Indian reservations are generating billions of dollars in casino revenues.
Is this happening anywhere in Mexico?
In the U.S., pure Anglo Saxons are less than 4% of the population so English immigrants haven't been major players for a long, long time!

Of course its all our fault (English) the fact that you Americans got Independence from us over 300 yrs ago, does not make the British responsible, you sort it out with the true Americans of your country.
