a strong military to ensure those rights are not trampled on by foreign invaders?
Would they be worthless pieces of paper?
If not defended, by war if needed, would they be little more than scrap paper, something to scribble on while passing the time of day?

I was caught on my scooter at 37mph but received the prosecution notice 1 month later. I understand the whole prosecution can be cancelled out if warning is not sent and received within 14 days. Is this true? What would be the procedure?

Everyone is horrified about the idea of us cutting funds to the war, insisting that it would get American troups killed, because they wouldn't hvae the equipment they need in the field. But would it?

A responsible commander in chief would withdraw the military before the lack of funds and supplies become a problem. Right?

I haven't been saying the pledge since about November and just today my teacher told me to say it. Is he allowed to do that? (He didn't get me in trouble or anything but he just glared at me and said "...to the flag...say it!")

Just wondering. Isn't it my right NOT to say it (And if I did I would be lying because I want to live in Europe when I'm older so I'm not really pledging allegiance....)

And the soldiers are fighting for my right to do exactly this, and I'm respecting my country by using the rights it gives me. So please don't answer if you don't say weather or not he's allowed to do this, or if you think he should or shouldn't.

Thanks for answers to my question.

Why want they indicate that 15 million dollars America paid for that land. With interest along it would take Mexico trillions of dollars to repay the money they took for the land. If they cannot do any good with the land they have now how will added land make things better for them ?

That so many people here in Politics think that calling the opposition by a clever(relative term here) insulting name automatically gives their position any sort of credibility? How about actually stating your position based on actual facts once in a while and drop the name calling? Give it a try, you may learn to like it.

Please don't call me "Unpatriotic" or anything. I'm just wondering WHY.

As we all know, the U.S. Supreme Court "appointed" Bush 2 as President of the United States in 2000 with a 5/4 split decision, but do you recall him complaining about his thin margin of "victory"? All I can remember was his gloating all the way to the White House. Now when the Democrats manage to pass a bill he doesn't like, he calls it a "narrow" vote. Yes, NOW he complains about a slim margin of victory for the other side because it didn't go his way. Wah! Wah! Wah!

Democrats Unite!!
Pelosi and others are doing exactly what the public that voted them in wants!
Bush can have his money!
All he has to do is achieve his goals in a timely manner!
4 years was more than enough time and we will not let him continue with no end in sight!!
So is he willing to let the troops on the ground flounder without the supplies they need or will he do what is right and accept the will of the people and finish what he started-- funded?

Bush laughed at it.
