Not everyone does. Most people like the country they live in, but some don't, they want to have a high standard of living and lots of freedom and opportunity to get wealthy so they head for America. We call them immigrants. Some Americans hate America for the same reasons, they think we live too well, have too much freedom and are too rich and greedy. We call them Democrats.
Legal immigrants have assimilated and become successful Americans. I met a lawyer today whose parents came from Cuba, he spoke excellent English and was earning more than a lawyer in Cuba.
There are few countries that have the same rights guaranteed to their citizens as are found in the American Constitution. Freedom of religion is a joke even in Europe, as certain recognized American churches are deemed to be illegal cults. Freedom of the press and public speech is also limited by many governments. The right to defend yourself from criminals is almost gone in many countries.
And the Democrats want to make the US more like those countries. Maybe the US is the best place to live if you like freedom and rights. That could explain why so many people want to come here that they will come illegally. Do you think?

People in other countries may like Americans, but the ones I've talked to do like America.
How many people who think the US is the best have never even been to another country?

Like them or not I really think the world would be a sorry place without them. Lest not we forget here in the UK. Whilst at present their policies abroad are not the best ( thanks to Bush & Blair) they are a warm and friendly people. Even if they do come after you out of a Restaurant for not leaving a 15% tip.

Not all do. The US is not as good as it claims to be, but also not as bad too.
It's the rotten few at the top that ruin it for everyone, spreading their silly faux patriotism to keep the public dumbed down and disinterested.
I think you'll find most Americans are just as normal as everyone else- but they do tend to be a little overly proud.

Yes, this is obvious from immigration statistics, both legal
and illegal....If you want to determine how "good" a nation,
just look at how many people want into it and how many
want out if it....The USA is clearly the best by the peoples vote.
USA is most free and offers everyone an opportunity to
succeed or fail on the basis of their own hard work and merits.

Did you ever live in any other country? See what their laws are like. See what happens if you illegally break into Mexico and are caught. Find out what their laws say about this. When you do, you will see that as bad as the U. S. seems to be, it is far better than other countries.

Everyone thinks that America is the best because it has a lot of power compared to other countries. However, I don't think that America is necessarily the best if you look at it from a social standpoint. For one thing, celebrities like Britney Spears and Pairs Hilton seem to mess it up for Americans -- alot of other nations seem to judge us Americans based on how people like these two act in the public eye. Also, America tends to "bully" other nations around just because it can and has the power to. I don't think that America is the best place, no.

I doubt every one does. I do, even though I know we have some serious problems.
I think each person should have pride in the country they come from. Even if things are bad find something to be proud of.
