Its a LAW (Of course, unless a parent says they don't have to, but we all know that a parent would NEVER force beliefs on their child...)

Please don't call me "Unpatriotic" or anything. I'm just wondering WHY.

I'm silent and everything, too. I just stand and look at the ground with my hands at my side.

As in the case of West Virginia Board of Educ. v. Barnette, 1943, the purpose of the pledge law is undoubtedly about promoting patriotism.

And the people in Texas who created this law are either unaware of the 1943 decision by the Supreme Court or (more likely) don't care about the Court's ruling.

That is solely ridiculous. I do not brain if they've satisfaction of their nation or their history. What I do have a situation with is the reality they don't seem to be in Mexico so the pledge must no longer be mentioned to their nation. Now I detect while an American Team performs an extra nations group then each National Anthems are snag and I would not have a situation with that however this can be a horse of one other colour. No different Pledge must be taken for another nation whilst it's at the US Soil similar to if I used to be on Mexican Soil or English Soil or another nations soil I must no longer state the Pledge to the US.

i don't say the pledge..and i don't put my hand over my heart....

and i RESPECT the moment of silence, but they can't make me say it if i don't want to...so i just stand quietly.
