We have only had a need for what about 150 years.
With all of the world fighting for control ....why don't we just "eliminate" the need for it through technology and alternate energies.

Live in a world all of their own don't they. I mean to say, whatever job, in the entire history of jobs allows YOU to decide if you resign after a major balls up, allows YOU to decide when it's time to stand down regardless of how well you carry out your duties, allows you to talk absolute claptrap, knowing that everyone else knows it's claptrap and yet still get taken seriously. What are our views then on Politicitians?

the child care facility that I am enrolling my daughter. They are asking, among other things, our household income. We live in Georgia. Our family does not receive any type of government aid (food stamps, welfare, etc). Am I required by law to put our income in this form? I personally don't think it's any of their business how much we make. We are not applying for any kind of reduced fees or anything... please help, I have to have this form turned in by tomorrow morning. Thanks.

What do you think about her wanting to follow her husband's footsteps in becoming the U.S. President? It could very well be like this: Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, ... I am very eager to read everyone's opinion negative and positive. Thank you in advance.

My friend Amy said when her husband tried to reenlist they told him he had too many children (4). How stupid! Has anyone else heard of this?

This is what my friend just found out few days ago. She was horrified and sickened by this... for four months she had no knowledge of two men (a serial child sex offender & a baby murderer) who were on volunteering work until it came out in the Sunday newspapers. They are due back to work.

The bosses at the Nursing home said to give those men a 2nd chance....
Do you agree and why?

for my final i have to write one paragraph on whether or not
i believe we should send the troops to iraq or not.
it's not suppose to be an argumentative essay; just what i think we should do
and i need back ups.

that's where i'm lost.
i dont think we should send the troops over because
we've already risked enough lives fighting for nothing.

but i dont know that much about anything else.

helppp?!

causing inflation? You never hear them whine about their own wages going up which cause more inflation than it does to raise the wages of the small percentage of people that earn minimum wage. And I bet they get wage increases much more often than once every 10 years.

I'm 17, and got a ticket for speeding a few weeks ago, 24mph over (I'm stupid, I know, I shouldn't have been going that fast). I have one prior ticket from over a year ago for failure to control vehicle (I got in an accident that was truly an accident, due to inexperience and bad weather). I went to court and got the points reduced to zero. This is a six point ticket, what do you think the chances are that I could get the points reduced if I went to court?
And what should I plead, Not Guilty, or No Contest? I definately was speeding, so not guilty sounds wrong, but is there a possiblity of contesting points if i plead No Contest?
Thanks
p.s. I got two sets of directions on what to do with the ticket, that is why I'm slightly confused.

I recently found out that B. Obama smokes cigarettes.

I was surprised and disappointed then thought, 'Well I guess a lot of ppl do too."

What are some reactions of this and would that influence your voting for him postively, negatively or not at all?

I am a registered Democrat, but I like what I have heard from him. He is a decoraated Vietnam Vet, unlike anyone in the Bush administration, and he is an outspoken opponent of our involvement in Iraq. Even as a Democrat, I would be tempted to vote for him if he runs. He's got guts.
