Live in a world all of their own don't they. I mean to say, whatever job, in the entire history of jobs allows YOU to decide if you resign after a major balls up, allows YOU to decide when it's time to stand down regardless of how well you carry out your duties, allows you to talk absolute claptrap, knowing that everyone else knows it's claptrap and yet still get taken seriously. What are our views then on Politicitians?

Politicians are almost always people who had lonely childhoods.
They were usually 'loners' and are rarely attractive.
Their need for power and control is not normally overt but is often present and can become uncontrollable in later years.
Socially politicians exist in an artificial world where more than is the case for others...human interactions are almost never honest or sincere. This means they lose the ability to display either of these properties despite them being the currency of their trade.
Politicians with any significant knowledge or understanding are weeded out and discarded by their parties early in the careers.
The emergence of wisdom...or anything that even remotely resembled it would fracture the political frameworks of the nation.
This is why personality disorders such as Blair and Bush can achieve power. They are safe because they are too stupid to change anything that is important to the real power brokers.
Excuse the rant.

What really gets me about politicians is that they never answer the question asked when they are being interviewed - it's even worse that the weak interviewer doesn't pick them up on it. The only decent interviewer is Jeremy Paxman - no one gets away with anything with him. Policitians are all the same and have lost the respect of the british public by their constant lies and spin. I would really like to know where my money gets spent - taxes for this penalties for putting the wrong paper in the wrong bin, yet the services are going to the dogs.

Politicians are very pressured. They are the people who shape policy and decide legislation, and if they make even the smallest mistake the world can turn on them. It's a hard job, and we don't give them enough credit. However, some are stupid and need to get the hell out of office right now. But everyone deserves a second chance.

what gets me down is, while one is going in a courtroom room each thing is showmanship to make one think of all is above board they even provide one a bible to swear to tell the actuality and however the main needed interest of looking after the rustic is done by using liers and scoundrels. cameras and listening gadgets ought to persist with those human beings each the place they circulate. the politicians are britains maximum needed criminals that no person is chasing.

The hardest part of politics is trying to tell a politician from someone who really cares.
Society is produced by our wants, government by our wickedness
