Doubtful, as long as the superpowers keep a level head. When Russia and the US square, then you can think about Armeggedon. Until then, think proxy wars, regional wars and disagreements between rump states.
Have you heard of the Yom Kippur war in 1973, Israel vs a coalition of Arab nations....Egypt, Syria and Jordan. That was worse than the current situation.....it didn't raise a blip on the world war scenario (not that it didn't have the potention as a spark)...just relegated to the heap of regional conflicts between rump states. When the strategic super powers square off into two camps, then come back and we'll talk World War and Armageddon.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, proxy wars, and brinksmanship.... After the next world war, we'll be back into the stone age and you won't have to worry whether a world war occurred or not.
There are currently 40 (+ or -) conflicts in the world right now, but none are between the super powers in open declarations of war.

No it wont be that easy or that soon. and i may never happen. after Bush steps down in a couple of months the world will go back to beating up on Americans all over the world until they need help again. i just hope the next time it for the right reason and the good fight.
Americans are thick skinned and hard to the core, we are very tough and are willing to put up with ridicule from Countries we fought and died for we gave back, the countries and they must be reminded for some dumb reason but that's OK that's US. perhaps one day they will remember our sacrifices in order to save them.

I have been on the planet for 50 years, in that time someone has been fighting killing someone else somewhere the entire time. I wouldn't get too overwrought or give up your day job just yet.
