How? At this moment except for possibly China, no country on the planet can defeat america in military combat. Occupation is another matter, we don't have the Romans ruthlessness to keep populations down.
Iran and Iraq were at war for 8 years, it ended in truce, though Iraq had the advandage. What does that tell you?

It's impossible for the US to lose to Iran. First off, Iran may boast that they have nukes, but that does not mean that they have. I can claim that I am the King of the World but that does not make me the king of the world. Iran lacks certain hardware to defeat the US. Take the Iranian Air Force, the only aircraft they have that I would consider a threat is the MiG-29 and their small F-14 force. The Iranian army may be huge, but numbers does not mean anything in battle, quality and mind makes all the difference. We do what we did during the first Persian Gulf War. kill all armor from the air using Tomahawks and other smart bombs, then hit their command sites with a heavy salvo of Tomahawks and kill their will with another shock and awe air campaign.

No. Most nations go to war with us in order to loose. When they are defeated by the US they benefit in the long run because we dump billions of dollars into the country to rebuild its infra structure. Look how Japan, and Germany have become economic super powers. The US enacted a constitution in Japan that allowed women equal rights and did away with the cast system. The question should be, will these few small countries with oil reserves realize they will become insignificant when their natural resources are exhausted, or replaced with a better fuel source. The what care will the world show towards the countries that have caused such pain and hate, when they have no resources to offer the world economy.

The truth is ... it all depends on who you vote for as the president. If it came to an all out war now, we would win the war, and at the same time, every war we win, every strategy that we use, gives our enemies time to plan and counter our strategies- The truth is we will kick butt, fine, for a year, maybe 15 more even, but when we lose, all our enemies will know we can be defeated. That is when we are in real danger. The truth is we are losing now in Iraq, just it sounds better to say we are winning,

Not even close, if it was an ALL OUT WAR as you put it,
the entire country of Iran would cease to exist in less than 5 minutes.
Iran is a physically small area of land.
about 10 nukes would turn it into a sea of glowing glass.
At the moment Only Russia and China would even have a chance
of beating us, and that is because they also have as many nukes as us. Sadly since Clinton sold our missle technology to China
they are getting better and better with their long range missles.
This week they shot down a satellite in space to show us they could.....
But Iran? Even if they built a nuke it would only be one or two SMALL ones....... And they have no delivery system other than a cargo ship that could get them here.,.......

You're kidding, right? A country whose air force flies a 20 year old fighter jet, the F-14, that they cannot get enough spare parts for to keep all of them in the air...a country with no off-shore missile launching capabilities....no airlift capabilities....a military one-third the size of ours......you ARE kidding, right?
All we'd have to do to win "an all-out war" would be to park our fleet off the coast about 15 miles out, throw Cruise and Tomahawk missiles at them for about a month, then follow it up with another month's worth of 24 hour a day saturation bombing by Navy aircraft, B-52s from Barksdale AFB, B-1s from Texas, and B-2s from Whiteman AFB, and by that time the Iranians would be begging for peace.

Lets clarify all out war...
America has more capibilities then any other military. The problem is, they can't really use those capilities to their full extent. All out war effectively means Iran doesn't exist anymore.
So, no, in an all out war, Iran has no chance.

No, this will be impossible. Their troops from the 1979-1989 war with Iraq are not up to our modern way of warfare. We can use mass amount of high tech weapons.
Occupation is the next key. This is something that we are learning.

No. They don't have nukes. Not even conventional weapons. or Smart bombs. However, they can defeat us if we invade their country and if the Iraq style war is fought( Suicide bombers,IED explosives, and guerrilla attacks. Airforce! No. Navy> too small to match us.
