I am 10 weeks pregnant and felt uncomfy or something and I hit a parked car. I gave the other car owner my driver licence info and told her that I will pay for the minor damage(it was a scratch). The woman called me and gave an estimate for 250 and I told her I will pay 200. Now she is saying that she did another estimate for 650 and asked me 400$. What should I do? Please help.

I recieved a ticket for parking too far from the curb in front of my house. The car was actually parked 24" over the curb instead of 18". It was in a residential neighborhood and not obstracing traffic in any way. Should I contest this? How likely would it be dismissed if I complain about it?

Somebody had a link to Al Jazeera's website on a previous question . I didn't know it was Al Jazeera, until I clicked on it. I read several posts and came to the clear conclusion that they are : Fully planning on the destruction of the U.S. - Gnashing their teeth at the first opportunity to do so - Actually think that they have enough weapons to bring us down, despite several American's posts explaining that they don't - Are clearly hoping for Iran to take-out our air-craft carriers in the Gulf, and seem to think they can.

Soooo, What do you think should be our response if they hit us ?

We have been at our San Francisco 3br apartment since July. Our roommate had to move out, so we found a new roommate from craigslist with great credit history and everything. After he signed all the paperwork our landlord sent us a letter saying he is raising the rent by $100 a month because the lease has changed with the new roommate being on there. I've never heard of a landlord doing this. I feel like he may be doing this illegally because we signed a lease for a specific amount, and it doesn't seem like it should matter who we fill the room with as long as his credit history is fine and he can pay rent. Please let me know if you have knowledge of CA rental laws.

Imagine if you will...Some other country (let's say Iran) has the military might to invade and occupy Washington D.C. and several other major American cities, and it does just that because thier leaders think they have a better way to govern and they want to enlighten us. What do you think the reaction of U.S. citizens would be?

I think we're currently being conditioned to accept a Western tide of media hypothesis eager to point every finger at Syria. Don't forget, Israel is still smarting from its unresolved campaign barely 2 months ago. Both Jerusalem and Washington would welcome destabilization and chaos sparking a civil war in Lebanon - and are itching for any excuse to take further military steps toward crushing its Hezbollah forces. Don't, for one minute, put it past them to have "arranged" this latest political murder in Beirut to suit their purposes.
