for the past two years the economy was a mess soup lines forming all over america,as of nov.6,now economy great wages out pacing inflation,unemployment,what unemployment,the trees are greener,the sky bluer,birds singing louder flying higher,americans are rich again,did i miss something,did the second coming of god happen these past two weeks?

I agree completely.

What gets me is how ppl will quote unemployment rates.... being so uneducated on how the system works.

Unemployment rates are based on a 6 month cycle and if you have been out of work more than 6 months and NOT registered with the employment commission you do not count.

This is not even counting the 100,000s that lost their jobs then found new jobs but are working for way less than before.

I wouldn't call it great... the housing market and all things related don't look good... trade deficits could be better (the one with China is horrible)... debt is a concern...

but it's not horrible either... as you stated... it's in kind of a holding pattern from what I can see... some indications are very good... some aren't...

what i got a real chuckle about is clinton takeing credit for the reagan tax cuts...so few people understand economics...
