Why when someone has a "disgruntled" or "bad" view of an American government policy or actions people on yahoo suggest to move out of America stating "if you dont love it, move".

If i remember correcty the people of America where given many rights INCLUDING the right to FREE speach and the power to over throw a corupt government.

Which i think this one is close too.

I wasn't married to my husband when he first got deployed in 2004, he just got back in Nov 2005 and we got married soon after. He was in the reserves when he got deployed to Iraq in 2004 and before he got back he agreed to go active duty. I'm afraid that he's going to get deployed again soon. He just got back from PLDC school in May and is now training at Fort Leonardwood, he's due back this week. They are making him a Sergeant in August. Do you think these are signs of impending deployment...or...? How much advance notice would I get? I've heard people say at least six months....is that true? One more thing....I've heard some soldiers talking about there is a rumor going around that deployment time is going to be shortened to 6 months instead of 1 year.....has anyone else heard this?

MAYWOOD, Calif. (AP) - A former deputy city clerk was charged Friday with trying to hire someone to kill a Maywood city councilman.
Hector Duarte, 29, was charged with seven counts, including soliciting murder, making criminal threats and threatening a public official.

He faces more than 10 years in prison if convicted of all counts, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said.

Prosecutors allege that Duarte tried to have Councilman Felipe Aguirre killed because he was upset about possible budget cuts that might reduce employee salaries or cost him his job.

They say Duarte left threatening messages in Aguirre's work mailbox and on Mayor Thomas Martin's cell phone.

Duarte, who was jailed on $1.3 million bail, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

He was arrested earlier this month by sheriff's deputies, but was released July 5 pending further investigation. He was taken into custody again late Thursday.

Police said they learned of a plot against Aguirre las

I mean, come on. I look at these discussion boards and anyone who is anything right-wing gets all huffy if others are talking about the problems of this nation. Why is that? They talk of Patriotism and all that, but they sure don't mind trampling on other's Right of Free Speech. And when it comes to actual discussion, they mock, harrass, name call, and make fun of others. Half the time they can't even use proper english or spell correctly; I guess they must also be one of the lost from the "Dumbing Down of America". How is a free Republic going to survive with people like that? I bet most don't even understand basic politics besides what their talking heads tell them; that they're thinking, "republic, I thought it was a democracy!"; that they think their vote actually counts and isn't bought; and that they think their leaders are people just like them and not the rich elite. How is it people can live in such a paridigm? How can we move past these people and reclaim our Country for US?

I had posted before about my dads concern with me joining the army. Not only did i get his blessing, but he also went with me to the rec. Now i have a bigger problem. I called all the people i owe money to. They either said i can wait till after basic or pay in advance. The last person i called was my landlord. I was trying to be nice, but she got real nasty. i told her that i felt bad, but i was going to join the army and that either someone eles (my friend offerd) can take over and pay the rent till i get back or that i break the lease because i might be getting orders. she said no. so i than said that maybe i could some how pay in advnce and that a friend could just stay here. she said that would cost me an extra 150 bucks. she than got real mad and said that i should i have told her before i signed the lease. I told her i did not know then that i was going to join. she told me that if i do not stick with the lease that she would sue me. can she sue over this?

I have been reading some news stories about situation in Somalia/Ethiopia....A lot of the news stories state that the two countries are "traditional enemies"
What does this mean?
How strong is this tradition?
Can Somalis and Ethiopians work together in workplace(in America for example).
Or live in same neighborhood after immigrating from Somalia or Ethiopia.

I love this country but I do not like political parties. I feel they get in the way of our country acheiving true greatness by not allowing a real person into office. Even if an independent or other party member got elected aside from a Democrat or Republican they could shoot down any suggestion the new president had just because he thinks outside the box. Can anyone help me, I almost don't want to vote. I mean look at the last election, I did not want to vote for Bush, and Kerry just rubbed me the wrong way, but I also knew voting for anyone else was futile. Should we just get rid of political parties? Or is there some good that they do that I am missing.

Should we all get rewarded and scream unfair? Does it excuse us from the law?

I respect your opinion if you are against stem-cell research. I may not understand it, but I do respect it. However, I do have a question. If you are against stem-cell research, would you sign this agreement if it was placed in front of you? Don't read into the wording too much, but just experiment with the general idea. Please explain why you would sign this agreement or why not. I'm not trying to insult you guys, I'm just curious.

I, ____________ (your name) hereby promise to forfeit any rights to partake of any medical treatments, cures or therapies that are developed using embrionic parts from an aborted or naturally dead fetus in the event I have or develop a disease. I also forfeit my childrens' right to partake of the same medical treatments, cures or therapies if they develop any diseases.
x_______________ (your signature)

So, would you sign this? I just have the feeling that most conservatives would be first in line for these treatments despite their morality preaching.

Am I the only black person who feels this way? I am very proud of my african ancestors and what they had to endure to bring me into this world. they are a part of my history. but i also have white and native american ancestors. plus, im not africa, you have to go really far back in my family, like more than 200 yrs to find an actual african. i am american. its not like white people are being labeled french-american, euro-american, german-american, etc., unless their parents or grandparents are from that country. otherwise, theyre just called american. why am i so different? i dont know where the origin of the term african-american came from, but it doesnt apply to me.

...I know this is a little bit out there, but correct me if I'm wrong.

These illegals seem not to care about anything but themselves. If for say, they don't care they're breaking our laws by 1) crossing without legal documents and 2) driving w/ out a license/ no insurance, 3) etc.. etc.. etc...

Wouldn't you say that the taxes itself is the source?

So, if taxes are what keeps these people here-- living off our hard earned money, than what if we (Legal Citizens) were to just stop paying taxes?

That is all taxes that we can have control over. Such as business' --(though it may take awhile to act on) and...no monthly taxes, no yearly taxes..all taxes to us citizens are out the window--as much as we have control over. Wouldn't the illegals respond then? Couldn't they not survive anylonger?

Yes the govt. would be pissed, but if it were to become a reality, congress would definately not pass this amnesty BS bill..

Furthermore, America would benefit in the end, correct???
