I love this country but I do not like political parties. I feel they get in the way of our country acheiving true greatness by not allowing a real person into office. Even if an independent or other party member got elected aside from a Democrat or Republican they could shoot down any suggestion the new president had just because he thinks outside the box. Can anyone help me, I almost don't want to vote. I mean look at the last election, I did not want to vote for Bush, and Kerry just rubbed me the wrong way, but I also knew voting for anyone else was futile. Should we just get rid of political parties? Or is there some good that they do that I am missing.

Politics & Government
➔ Politics
You could always assemble a militant group to overthrow the government, by buying larges amounts of weapons from the black market...but I don't advise that. Try just not giving a damn. Honestly...What we do, matters not at all to the politicians anyways. They are all money hungry, and very selfish. Everything they do, is done to boost their own credit. I worked with some senators for a very short time, and then bailed, because I couldn;t handle all the corrupt crap that was going on all the time. Just live your life, and don't worry about that stuff. Keep it simple.

The biggest responsibility that we have been given by all those that have fought and died for us from Lexington to now, is the responsibility of voting, and voting your conscious when you do.
If every able body legal citizen took it to heart, this country would achieve the greatness that was foresaw.
While I agree that Kerry "rubbed" many the wrong way, I still think he was the best man for the job due to his money not being tied up in politics or oil.
He simply played politics by being everything to everybody and it backfired.
Let this be a lesson to the Democrat leaders.

Start a career in talk radio and reach out to the masses
Sean Hannity (KABC, Los Angeles), Neal Boortz, Bill Handel (streaming through kfi640.com), Jerry Springer, yes THAT Jerry Springer (Air America), and even the mighty Rush all were fed up with how things were going on around them and got their start in radio and reached out to others who are like them. They have fun attracting others who strongly oppose their views and debate them on the air.
Maybe you could reach out to a group on your campus and even get a charter for an hour or two on radio at your local college like KHPU, Hawaii Pacific University. Work with a partner or two, it keeps the issues talked about stirred up. Who knows, you might be the next big thing on radio
Good luck!

How about just voting your conscience, and not telling anyone whom you voted for.
It is no one's business but your own.
