i mean some people see a poor starving bum and they will look the other way. if this bum was being beaten not many would stop it from happening? i have seen children starving living on the streets no one would give them the time of day but if someone beats a dog like a chihuahua they ask for the person to be killed or locked away for good. i do not support animal abuse at all but feel the value of human life is greater than any animal or pet. the second part of my question is why do people spoil there pets when there are people who are in greater need of help. now i want serious answers only please.

I recently moved back in with my mom and she has a female Shih-Tzu about 5 years old that despises cats. Well, while I was living with my dad I got a female tabby cat and she is almost a year old now and moved her with me. The cat acts defensive around the dog and the dog likes to chase her around. I just wish they could get along. Please help me. Thanks!

Why the hell would you have a snake as a pet? Their not cuddily soft of playful. They sit there in a glass aquarium smell, and eat rats all day. And also, theres always the risk of strangulation if you have a large snake, whenever you take it out to play with it, or it somehow gets out of the aquarium.
Any reptile/snake lovers out there? if so, explain to me why in God's name you would like a snake as a household pet ..

I have 3 kids, 6, 4 and almost 2. Our neighbor's dog just had puppies and my two oldest kids want one so badly but I'm having a hard time deciding whether this is the right time. I am home during the day so the puppy would get a lot of attention. My concern is really over the baby's age and if she's ready to learn how to treat a dog kindly. Thanks for any input.

My Lipizzaner Stallion has now attacked 3 of his handlers, he presents as quiet before the attacks and shows no respect to humans at all. should he be destroyed. These are not bite incidents but he actually uses killing moves to place the handler in his stable by biting and lifting them off the floor

I'm trying to decide whether to get a cat or a dog. I've never owned either before, so this will be my first pet. I work from 8:30-5:00 and sometimes until 9:00 on Mondays. I live in a condo.

My 19 month old horse just pinned down Wilma, my pregnant goat that is due any day and was biting her and pawing at her. We just got the goats and they are in with the horse. Rebel, the horse is used to all the attention, and very spoiled, but I love the big baby and can't help but spend alot of time with him. He will lay down on the ground now when I am sitting in the feild with him and rest his head on my lap. He is like a child. I have rebel tied up right now as punishment for the way he was with wilma( goat) and she seems to be fine. No limping or blood and she is moving around and eating. Question is how long should I keep rebel tied for bad behavior, and are horses able to comprehend the punishment and be able to be around the goats in the feild. The goats are kept in a little pen at night so stray dogs or cyotes cannot get them.

I have a 5 yr old appaloosa mare that has had 1 foal. She is 16 mths old now. I bought this mare and filly in 07-06 and the mare was already bred. Unfourtately field bred, and no one knows when she was bred, My ? is how far along in mths does she have to be before I can see and feel the foal move?? She was with the stallion all winter not seperated at after the birth of her 1st foal until april or may of 2006. Then he was returned in the 1st week of June and no interest in breeding my mare just protective of her and her foal. Please help she is very pregnant and I am going crazy trying to figure this out. I can see and feel the foal kick, mostly when momma is eating or drinking cold water.
So I know she is with foal.

I want to get a muntjac deer but I do not know much about them. I would like to know what they eat, how big they get, where they need to be kept, how much they are to buy, and other things like that, and also where I can buy one.

Ok. Other than for a stallion to check a mare for heat. Why else does a horse especially a pregnant mare flip up her top lip. Just like a stallion does??? My mare is pregnant and she does this alot. I dont know when she was bred cause she was feild bred and already in foal when I bought her. Thanks in advance,
