Okay, first put out an ice cream bucket and fill the bottom with some hamster food, then put in one peice of its fave treat, like lettuce or carrotes or what ever else he really likes. Make sure that it is something that you have fed him before and that it is not poisonous. Then put a sort of ramp up so that it can get into the bucket, to get the food. Wait until the next morning and because hamsters have good sense of smell, and they love food, you may be able to find him in the bucket. Because the sides of the bucket are too high the hamster will not be able to climb out. Hope you find your hamster!

Yes, what I would do is leave a small amount of his food in everyroom that way when he smells it, he'll go to it and will be too busy eating gives you time to sneak up on him.Remeber they are fast little buggers. Good Luck!

you can get a live trap to catch him in. they are avaialbe at most home and garden stores. i use em to catch chipmonks that live under my deck. it works wonders and you can turn em back loose in the wild without having to kill em. or put out some of his food and keep a close eye out. but that could mean staring at the food plot for hours!
