My rabbit really likes to chew on my carpet. I know this is not good for her but I hate keeping her in her cage all the time. I have tried the "no" command and putting my hand between the carpet and her mouth, but that isn't working. I have read that rabbits don't like the smell of lavender and catnip. If I sprayed the carpet with a mixture of lavender oil and water, would that keep her from eating it? Or is there some better way of saving my carpet?

I have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit who likes to chew the carpet. There are several spots she has chewed up. I have tried sprays, clapping my hands and saying No, but nothing seems to stop her. Does anyone have any ideas? She has plenty of acceptable chew toys, paper, etc., but isn't interested.

I have a older pet rat in a plastic coated wire cage (she doesn't chew it) and I want to know if it is safe to cover the wire ramps with sticky back or ceramic tile, I don't want her to get bumblefoot or to get caught as she gets older but I also don't want to put her at risk, any serious advice is welcome, sarcasm is not. Thanks
