She will cackle. A hen will stop laying eggs when reaching old age, usually 3-5 years old. I've had chickens who lived 15 or more years. Some of them laid eggs right up until they died, especially bantams.

Chickens lay one egg a day, and after they have laid it, they come out of the hen house yelling about it. Bockbockbock-Bck-KAWK!!!!! is the normal 'I laid an egg!' phrase. They repeat it for a while until they're no longer excited and then go about their chicken-y ways.

It will just stop laying eggs. Usually when they are to old.
