A coyote is a predator and is built for...well preying on other animals. A slow coyote would starve to death as they eat rabbits, mice, cats and an occasional baby calf. The cow, on the other hand, eats grass and what their owner feeds them. Cows can and do run but they are not real fast. They generally only run if they're trying to get away from something or trying to get to their food.
