Why is there a "Madeleine McCann Fund"? I just went on the site and it says there is £900 000 +, but why?
I never knew they started a fund up?
What's it for?
And what will they do with £900 000?
Is it for the Portugese police?

I know this will prompt all kinds of synical replies, and at the risk of promoting some conspiracy theories, but this is just a "what if" question. Nothing more..nothing less.

What if: we find out WMD were actually in Iraq as the intel suggested, and simply sold to Iran to prevent the US from finding them in that country?
What if we find this information to be fact in say...10 years. Will that make Bush look more "presidential"?
Will it make Democrats look foolish for flip-flopping?..Make republicans more foolish for not finding it out for 10 years?

I happen to think it wouldnt change the views of Bush, but it would certainly help General Powell's image.

I think it was only a year ago that they threatened the "nuclear option" to remove that debate tactic entirely, and I know of at least 2 times they used it since they lost control of congress...

US'll plan the nuclear power plant construct close future. Basically US WH designed but Toshiba buy the right for BWR type. It's complex like baseball played with Ichiro, Matsui--. Can you think that? I'm sorry that pitcher throw to I. M. by easy ball than US batter.

I've lost count of the number of entries in this and various other groups about the McCanns apparently making a mint out of their daughter's disappearance and using it for personal gratification. My question is, given that the McCanns were undoubtedly criminally negligent in leaving their daughter unsupervised and unattended, should the monies not be sequestered by the UK govt and administered by them or perhaps by InterPol to cover the costs incurred so far in the search for this wee girl?

I have recently been baptised to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or more commonly know as The Mormons. So many people believe that there are bad things with this church and there really isn't. I've been attending services for three years and my husband and I are planning on getting married in the temple. Please help me to understand the reason people are so misunderstood about this church. Thank you.

there is a case in cincinatti where a kid beat his eight month's pregnant girlfiend until the fetus died. He is going to be tried for murder. Do you agree with this? Not interested in getting into an abortion rights debate, just curious on what your opinion is on whether or not a fetus can be murdered. In Ohio, the definition is if it could live outside the womb, it's murder.

Firstly let me tell you I don't have any feelings on this just want to know what others think.

Does the news reporters only tell us what they are directed to tell us? Are we really hearing the truth to what is going on or is it because they are trying to brainwash us?

Thanks for letting me know what you think.

Another publicity stunt?
And who would ask them to stand as Godparents?( Relative or not)
After all they we have only got to know about them due to their LACK of care, for their children. Can they cope with another?

2007-07-16 23:30:39 · 19 answers · asked by babyshambles 5

Whilst there is no doubt that some criticism can be fairly made about the McCanns leaving their children alone, it is also fair to say that a lot of those comments are extremely sick and unbalanced, so much so that I personally wonder whether some people out their are unsuitable parents.
They would clearly give up very quickly if it were their child that disappeared.
And they clearly do not believe that doing everything possible is the right way to go in these dreadful circumstances..

"Research by the Children’s Society indicates that around 100,000 children go missing each year. Those estimates are corroborated by research for the Government’s social exclusion unit review of young runaways in 2002 and by statistics from the Metropolitan police.

That means that, on average, every five minutes of every day a child goes missing in the UK."

Another source i've found says 77,000 children go missing p.a. and every piece of objective writing i've come accross on the issue so far has said that there is actually NO uniform system for tracking missing kids, nor is there a real figure known for the number of them that go missing each year.

Personally, while I did pray for Maddie, and while it is a great shame that she has not been found, it concerns me that one girl (who just happens to be a white Christian) get's so much publicity, while others are ignored.

What do you guys think?

I read today about a women-only taxi service and was pretty sickened by some gits claiming that this is sexist. When there are an estimated 30,000 unlicensed taxi drivers in the UK, with an increasing amount of serious sexual assaults taking place in them, how can any sensible and decent person say that providing a safe alternative is NOT a good idea? I am getting so sick of hearing about people in pagents "GOING TO LOSE THEIR TITLE" because of unappropriate pictures and partying!!

ok...these people chose to be in pagents and are aware of the stakes.Usually it is a dream that they have had sinse being a little girl and spend their life doing pagents and preparing for "the big one". Its not a secret that you could lose your title for inmature photos. they are WELL aware of it....so just DONT DO STUPID THINGS!!

If you cant keep yourself from doing dumb a** things because you, for instance, have hopes of becoming Miss Universe, than you dont deserve the darn title anyways!!!

And who knows, MAYBE Miss New Jersey faked this blackmailer just for the attention that its getting!!
Her crying and "sanding up" to someone with these photos has everyone talking about her strong character...keep in mind that the photos were mild, how convenient for her! ...............get for real!!!
