there is a case in cincinatti where a kid beat his eight month's pregnant girlfiend until the fetus died. He is going to be tried for murder. Do you agree with this? Not interested in getting into an abortion rights debate, just curious on what your opinion is on whether or not a fetus can be murdered. In Ohio, the definition is if it could live outside the womb, it's murder.

Yes, it's murder. Furthermore, she couldn't even have a legal abortion at this point. It has nothing to do with whether it could live outside the womb.

There will never be general agreement on whether a foetus is a baby or not, but I personally would not execute him - I'd lock him up in a room with a dozen "ordinary" prisoners (armed robbers, whatever) and send the warders home for the night.

I think that F*UCK oughta be killed. Your use of the word "fetus", especially after 8 months, clearly reveals your feeling, unless it was just a poor word-choice. Before he's executed, though, I think that he should receive a battery of tests, designed to determine if he's got some sore of mental defect or something. When faced w/ wicked crimes, I think that society should always try to thoroughly explore the causes, even if the perpetrator is eventually killed.

he shouldnt be tried for murder, he should be beaten to the point where he can bearly breathe through his blood and then nursed back to health so he can be beaten again. repeat this until the day he finally takes his last breath of his pathetic little life. maybe that would teach him two lessons...dont hit a girl and dont kill babies! we can only hope that someone will teach him that lesson in prison.

But when does birth day start? Obviously there is lot of contradictions in issues like abortion. But I can tell you there are contradictions everywhere in the world. Even in religions, science...etc...beyond abortions, stem cells.

That guy is barbaric, and he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. What kind of scum attacks the mother of his child and kills his own child?! I can't think of a much worse crime. Hopefully, by aggressively punishing these criminals we can reduce the number of boyfriends/husbands who would try to avoid paying child support by killing their children.

It is murder, however your question, failed to state if she was a willing party in the act.
It would seem if she hit herself unstill the Fetus died, it would not be murder, just an act of performing an unlawful abortion.
