does a lead sentence have to be in it's own paragraph? my story flows so much better if i put it with another sentence.

ex.1
Senior Eve Grelle sits in front of her computer screen struggling to think of a way to calm a group of concerned Hispanic students.
As editor of the North Star, one of her jobs is to respond to mail from unhappy readers.
Although some of their duties aren’t easy, the staff feels that they will be beneficial in the long run.

Do you know or suspect they have media planning sessions with marketing think tanks to come up with campaigns to adopt a child, fund an orphenage, save the enivronment (Bono) and so many other bull scat public relations events to keep their profiles high. It is vital to their bargaining power (money,contracts) so why not? Are mostly all of these charitable angels driven by the same thing. Even male superstqrs. Woud Tom Cruise do such things? Even Bono, or is he just a fruitloop? Everybody is announcing their charitable foundations, even big sports stars. They just don't do it in silence. Even Bill Gates and Warren Buffet seem to have a need to broadcast their donations to ever cycling feast-and-famine in Africa. They get overpopulated and begin starving again. World Hungar charaties kick in and they reverse the cycle. Been seeing those hungry children before tv - they can be found in old archieves of The National Geographic. Malthus explained all that long ago.

I was just wondering if people (T.V., Newspapers, etc.) made a big deal of his death?

I'm hoping they did! And I definately can't remember because I was about three years old at that time :(

I can't stop thinking that his death might have not been of much imporatance. If something as lame as Paris Hilton's jail sentence got more attention than Freddie's death, i will be shocked. Please say it ain't so

I just recently discovered/fell in love with QUeen's music, and I don't know much about Freddie or the band

If anyone remembers anything that happened/was done in the media due to Freddie's death (huge ceremony?, his death being mentioned a lot in the news?), I'D LOVE TO GET SOME DETAILS, THOUGHTS, COMMENTS, INTERNET LINKS, ANYTHING

Look at the coverage on the escapes of Britney Spears, or on
the Paternity of Anna Nicole's Baby ... Does the American/
or the International Public REALLY want NON-STOP details
during EVERY television broadcast and in EVERY publication???

Also, why did we have NON-STOP and Round-the-Clock coverage regarding the disappearances of Lacy Peterson,
Elizabeth Smart, and Natalee Holloway ... Yet, when Megan
Williams (A Black Woman) was held Hostage for a Week and
was subjected to rape and other atrocities ... This story bearly
got a "blur."

We are STILL getting NEWS COVERAGE and Retrospectives on DEAD Celebrities like Elvis Presley,
Princess Diana, and Marilyn Monroe. Yet, when Yolanda King
the oldest child of Martin Luther King Jr. and his Activist wife
the late Coretta Scott King ... when Yolanda died earlier this
year ... Where was the RETROSPECTIVE on HER LIFE ...
She was an Actress AND an ACTIVIST. She and Her Parents
left a TREMENDOUS legacy! Yet, bearly a BLUR!
