Out of curiosity I watched both a couple of times. Why would anyone watch either? O'Reilly is an arrogant, condescending bastard pandering to the extreme right.
Dobbs almost sinks to his level but sticks with issues that he already knows are supported by the public at large. His problem is his obvious hypocrisy on issues and his pandering.
They're both a waste of time.

I watch them both. I like them both. I am very interested in all things going on and I try to catch everything that's out there on the subject. I even endure Hannity & Combs and find the Beltway Boys kind cool, in a weird old school kinda way. Regardless, major crap is on our horizion. The more info and knowledge you have, the better to make and cast a vote that means something.

As least Lou keeps his vitriol on one topic: immigration. Orally just makes **** up and shouts down those who disagree with his "wisdom."

THE INDEPENDENT PRESS
"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before 24 hours my occupation would be gone.
"The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."
--John Swinton, prominent New York journalist, from his speech at a banquet given in his honor by the leaders of his craft, 1880.
There is not one talking head that isn't described by the above, always it has been, always it shall be.

There is good and bad in both. I find that when I watch either, I end up switching when they get on my nerves.
