Did the word 'loner' (meaning, in populist-speak 'oddity'), or other terms typed out by the papers in question turn us into the moral disgusted? When did we discover Mr. Stagg was not only bait for dodgy police (which didn't work), but tabloid heaven, in which most of us read, and read...and read with expectation upon every word? How did we feel after being found out we'd been had?
Realise answers might not be - ahem - forthcoming, but in the middle of the melee, one of the papers gladly told us '90%' of their readers wished the death penalty was still on the books.

I think it's a waste of paper. I know they make ad revenue from this, but I don't really ever read the classifieds.

kind of random question but I was reading something about euthnasia and Terri Sciavo and I was wondering why the Terri Schiavo case got much more attention than other cases that are very much like it?

Some people think he deserves without knowing the facts, just like the Duke Lacross cases.
People think only happen because of his lifestyles but maybe it's just another young rich guy targeted.

Dude.. have you lived in Sri Lanka? LTTE are terrorists, and being an American citizen I am ashamed at how biased and ignorant we and our most popular news agency can be.........

LTTE are terrorists. LTTE attacks on Sinhala civilians are not RARE. And there is and was no "discrimination" of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

How can you be so stupid? And I've only met a few other international lawyers that have my views, because terrorism has ways of finding awesome propaganda. And we gullible Westerners almost ALWAYs fall for it, which is why we are in bullcrap now!

What did you think about that comment where a guy said that he was not surprised that it happened? Don't you think that's a little disrespectful to the dead?

The BEEB has posted this statement in the news.

"Muhammad, in its 14 different spellings, is now the second most popular name for baby boys in Britain."

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7115821.stm

Yet other sources such as the Telegraph give a more accurate rundown of the UK's most popular boys names.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/12/21/nnames21.xml

Is this another show of fear towards islam from the BBC?

Is this news to the people of the uk?

No kiddin'.....I watched all the network news, FOX, CNN and a couple of cable programs today. Zero! I read two seperate newspapers....the Arizona Republic and US News Today.....zip about the war that had any real depth. At best there was a short clip showing the same marines knocking down the same door that they've shown at least a hundred times. Good or bad, what kind of reality is happening there for our billion borrowed dollars a day? Any ideas?

There have never been any convincing studies that have established that such an assasination could have physically been performed by Oswald. Further, testimony of witnesses and other persuasive evidence has established that there was more than one gunman shooting at the President. Finally, there have been many analyses showing that the official story has so many holes in it that you could drive a Boeing 757 through it without being touched. As a result of the overwhelmiung evidence that Oswald could not have been the assassin, and the lack of any evidence that he could have been the assassin, polls of Americans have repeatedly shown that most Americans do not believe the official story. And outside of America, polls show that an even larger precentage of people don't believe the official story. Does this mean that the media is tacitly going along with the conspiracy, or are the people in the media who keep saying the false statements about Oswald merely stupid?
