Dude.. have you lived in Sri Lanka? LTTE are terrorists, and being an American citizen I am ashamed at how biased and ignorant we and our most popular news agency can be.........
LTTE are terrorists. LTTE attacks on Sinhala civilians are not RARE. And there is and was no "discrimination" of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
How can you be so stupid? And I've only met a few other international lawyers that have my views, because terrorism has ways of finding awesome propaganda. And we gullible Westerners almost ALWAYs fall for it, which is why we are in bullcrap now!

From a completely uninvolved person's perspective, I don't see what "freedom" Tamils are fighting for. I have lived in Sri Lanka for 24 years now, and trust me, I know that Tamils in Sri Lanka are no saints.

LTTE are terrorists and it is a fact and not something we can argue. They are banned as a terrorist organisation in many countries such as US, UK, thw whole of the EU, Canada & Australia, including many others.
Anyone closely following the events in Sri Lanka would not even have the slightest doubt the tamil tigers are terrorists of the highest degree.
They murder their own people including intellectuals just because they held a different opinion. The recent attempt on the tamil minister Douglas Devananda was the TENTH attempt on his life by the LTTE. There is a very lengthy list of people assasinated by the LTTE, and a list of terrorist attacks by the LTTE, for those who don't know.

I don't know which news you are referring,
But you should have ability of background analysis to know how the problem evolved. If you know how the problem begins in Sri Lanka between two ethnic group, then only you can say about one party is good or bad. Don't just see only what the Sri Lankan government says.
Read some more news then you realize why the people becomes LTTE. You can read the origin of the current civil war in Sri Lanka here,

Government in Sri Lanka failed to solve the problem of tamil, and it doesn't give any political solution to minority people, that leads minority to fight. And the state terrorism is still going on;to overcome that there is no other way for tamils, they form as armed group. So LTTE is not a terrorist group like in other countries, they are freedom fighters.

Your saying that CNN is pro Tamil Tigers? I hadn't noticed that. I will look out for that going forward and judge for myself.
