for years I have wanted to write and I am told I am good at it. i write quirky factual stuff for a magazine in the UK but I can NEVER work out a synopsis for a story.

I'd like to write a crime caper based in San francisco with all the quirky characters I have met here. Crime = non violent crime like the theft of a valuable diamond necklace or something.

I can always thing of good scenes and conversations and I have the characters sorted out but can't work out a good plot or even how the crime could be solved!

Doesn't have to be a crime caper so any ideas on how to get a story started greatly appreciated!

Ideally I'd like the story to be 20 - 30 pages

name of Peterson. His missing wife is named Stacy. Lacy is the name of the pregnant CA. woman apparently murdered by her husband Scott. Both of these men appear to be cocky womanizers who lack consciences. Is this a strange coincidence or what? If convicted, perhaps they'll toss the older man in with Scott so they can compare notes. And fight over love letters sent to them in prison, which is usual with this type of criminal.

every day it seems CNN reports on the war in Iraq, except all the time, it is bad news. They seem to feel the need to report every troop death; they ignore positives about Iraq. For example how troop and civilian death rates have decreased this year. They call terrorists, militants. Dont believe me? go here. Im not in support or against the war, I just hate biased reporting. especially from a site that's "the most trusted name in news"

He stated that the reason food banks (for the poor) are having less donations from companies and the government is because people have more money to spend. Is this guy an idiot or what? I consider myself a conservative but looking at the economy (outsourcing, home loan defaults..etc) it's not difficult to understand that people have fallen on hard times.

Since the tragic accident their son was in Florida news has been going crazy. Yet one network ABC affiliate Tampa Bay News got a scoop interview. Then they went back into other tapes. Hogans were promoting & cashing in on speed racing ? Mrs. said I never said and all over my news tonight is SHE SAID just that!!
Before it hits the AP thought I would ask how you feel. If idols can play should they then not pay? Really OJ Michael VIC ??
The kid was in an accident promoted by road racing. SO should Hulk now come out and say WE were wrong? As if!

If the Democratic and Republican house and Senate right now were to come up with imediate Removal of this bush Klan from the white house we would be able to have a chance at a new type of government to start up NOW.
We could get everyone thinking about ONE American government or a Third party system to keep everyone honest from now on.

Really disappointed with the low calibre journalism from Panorama. This was no better than Dispatches and revealed nothing new.

I switched off half way through to watch Dragons Den as I felt that this was little more than a McCann propoganda stunt. Panorama's reporter was straight out of the Blue Peter school of journalism.

Doesn't it make your blood boil that license payers cash was used to produce this trash?

Okay, her Marriage failed, and she's lived in this little play-world all of her life, and the way I personnally feel about her new vagan lifestyle is that she can keep it to herself cuz I really don't want her opinion about how we should all switch to rat's milk or cat's milk and stop using cow's milk cuz she's Heather Mills and that's what SHE wants us all to do.....whats your opinion?
