Fox News just said that there is a Warning on the new Sesame Street DVD that it's for adults only, because of stupid stuff like the cookie monster eating cookies and so he will get diabetes.

OK - it's now official - that's the most ridiculous thing ever. Sesame Street is something children have watched for years, and not once has there been a warning like this, and not once has a child suffered as a result of something those puppets have done. It's sheer stupidity and pettiness.

Come on, since when are kids suppose to worry about getting diabetes. What sort of retarded parenting would allow their kids to sit around long enough to get such a disease. The whole point of Sesame Street is that is for chidren to watch, although admittedly it's a show well done enough that even an adult can watch it without retching.
On another note, cookie monster needs to go to rehab.

the "70s Sesame ST does not fit today's culture. Big Bird hallucinates...Cookie Monster is headed for diabetic coma, an elderly man takes a lost girl home with him, Oscar is in need of some serious mental health, and the ghetto never looked like that. Oh yeah are Bert and Ernie gay, and is Ernie retarded? That's what I read.

They are just saying in our "politically correct" world some of the earlier episodes from the 70's are a little incorrect. They dont want the children now a days to be exposed to images that were acceptable to us when we were kids (meaning the 25-35 age group). I for one don't think kids think the way adults do thats why we looked at it as just humor but now everything is sensored for "just incase" reasons.

'It has always been subliminally directed at adults right along with Mr. Rogers, The Electric Company and the CBS production of Captain Kangaroo. Oh yeah and don't forget The Flintstones.

This is as ridiculous as making Santa say "ha, ha, ha" instead of "ho, ho, ho." The world is falling apart, people are dying in a needless war, and we're worried about a puppet who eats a cookie? Has the whole world gone crazy?

Prime example of the media climbing even further up our asses, telling us what is "bad" and what is "good." I think reading their news site is worse then what you'll see on seasame street.
The only reason they reported on that today, is because it's a slow news day.
