No kiddin'.....I watched all the network news, FOX, CNN and a couple of cable programs today. Zero! I read two seperate newspapers....the Arizona Republic and US News Today.....zip about the war that had any real depth. At best there was a short clip showing the same marines knocking down the same door that they've shown at least a hundred times. Good or bad, what kind of reality is happening there for our billion borrowed dollars a day? Any ideas?

That just means that nothing bad happened today because if it did the media would have jumped on it

There was an article in the Newsweek yesterday, but I'm not sure that it was actually this week's reports, since I was out of town last week.

The article said there is a tenuous but hopeful improvement in Baghdad, and that some Republicans in Congress are beginning to ask for a withdrawal timeline.

I also read an opinion on here a day or two ago that we are doing so well there that we were sure to bring the troops home before the election, which, in the opinion of that poster, would take the wind out of the Democrats' sails and thus, is not getting air time from the "liberal press."

Personally, I don't think Fox is very liberal. I'm not sure what is going on. Like you, I want to see some progress reports. No spin, just numbers.
