It is simple, you get the Newspaper on your screen. Then click 'Print Screen,' on the top right corner of your keyboard. Then, go to Paint or Word or whatever, then do 'Save as.' Now, you have saved it, go to your front cover, right click, click properties, go to desktop, then go browse, then select the picture of your newspaper.
If this is wrong, then I misunderstood your question.
Hope this helped!

First - find a newspaper that you like the look of - getting the layout right is important - but since there are so many newspapers already available - you can leave the professional to do all the hard work of actually laying the front page out.

If I am to assume you are using MS Word and that you know how to use it to create your newspaper - you should divide the page up into 4 columns. Create graphics for your Newspaper Name and Banner Headlines and cut and paste them onto the page.

If you can summarise your main story in a single catchy word - you can have that as your banner headline - A really famous word from a UK newspaper was "Gotcha!" - this originally referred to the sinking of the General Belgrano during the Falklands war in 1982 - and has been used in various permutations for headlines ever since.

The idea being to create a very snappy word that will engage the buyers interest. This paper sold out in a very few hours. This has been accepted as being attributable to a single word on the front page..

Odd question.. If you mean like a clipping in a broadsheet or tabloid style then this could do it for you: http://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp

But if you mean you want to make a newspaper yourself then you can do it on Publisher or another DTP program.

Ideally, a picture to go with your front page story. Page one is the page that tells people why they should read your paper, so I wouldn't use up all the space for a mascot, name and such.
