Surveys have been taken to show that 8% of the muslim population favor destruction to the USA. That is over 100,000 !!! What should the USA do ???

I would think the best answer can only be answered by the U.S.A. Start on the premises that it is a misconception on the part of the Muslim world, a misconception that was built over many years and many situations that led them to conclude to favor destruction to the U.S.A. Do some very deep soul searching as to what could have caused these misconceptions - as an example; that Americans are perceived to be arrogant in their dealings with the rest of the world. Be true, and really get to the root of the problem. Having done so, the greatest public relation must be done, to get connected with the Muslim world, to really work hard to understand how they think and what are their perceptions. One way would be to show the Muslims residing in USA, just how well Americans can relate with them, not on a superficial level but on a community level where all Americans of different religious beliefs are given equal treatments and rights be it in the arena of sports or schools or in the job market. Get to understand and meet them at a personal level. Get them to work with the various Government and private agencies. Never isolate them, for in the long run, isolation would only bring upon greater misconception from the Muslim world.
Going to war with any Muslim nation is not the solution. War begets war. It would take a very very brave American to have a complete paradigm shift and think that only solutions carried out without war can succeed in bringing about peace with the Muslim world. Show them that they can work with the Muslim brethren by being sincere and just. It perplexes me that the most generous nation on planet earth is also the most unpopular nation amongst many nations. In nearly all the major disasters around the world , the USA is the first to offer help in terms of volunteers and monetary assistance. So how did this situation come about?
As i have said earlier, the USA has to do some deep soul searching and come up with an answer. It should not be too difficult as the greatest assembly of intellectuals and great minds of all races and religion are citizens of the USA and residing there. It would take a brave individual or a group of citizens to come up with solutions that would lead the Muslim world to change their mind about bringing destruction to the USA. And the first step is to make your peace with the Muslim world.

Make friends with as many Muslims as you can. Get to know them. Not only will this get you more friends, and you'll benefit from the diverse cultural manifestations, but you will be in a better position to notice suspicious behavior in the community too.
I've known some really nice Muslim people, and some not so nice, what can you expect from human beings anyway?
Now, if somebody I know is related to the Prez of Iran; do they agree with Mahmoud, or did they flee from that type of environment? After all, they are in the US now. Could be lots of fun getting to know them.

as we can't even get a handle on the Mexican illegal aliens, what makes you think anything would be done about the "Death to America" types? everything serves a purpose.even the 8%.

Keep an eye on suspicious people and tap the heck out of their phones. I think they are doing a good job right now. Voting for democrats wouldn't solve the problem, it might make it a little worse as dems would be more pro human privacy which is not what we really need right now especially if it means protecting us. Sometimes we have to sacrifice some of our special rights for freedom and homeland security.This next coming year I will be voting based on qualities and qualifications of the candidates. Thats what you should do too.

A lot of americans talk as much ish about our government as these radical islamics do...It comes with freedom of speech, I don't know that we can do anything to regulate it, it would be used as an excuse to target us even further. There's no way we can make every group happy.

Kick back and relax . . . and of course start dealing with the Israeli/Palestinian situation in an even-handed manner since that has always been the root cause of all the anti-U.S. sentiment . . . until we took things a step farther and invaded Iraq for no reason!!!
