Like in Iraq and Afghanistan? Does'nt our own
Constitution say to maintain well-armed militias? We
are only causing suspicion, and bloodshed, which is leading to more blood vengeance.
Shouldn't we be letting the Security Forces work with
the militias in Iraq at least? I know Afghanistan is ruled
by drug lords. Which makes it harder.

Let's face it...there's only three things that make up news...war, tragedy and scandal...same crap different day.

You'd think we could get something interesting for a change..you know INVESTIGATIVE journalism? Something education...oh wait those are called special features and they actually require time and money and good journalism.

Yesterday the Sunday Mirror printed a full interview with Tom Stephens. He lives on a new estate in Felixstowe. He said that he had already been questioned four times by police. I found his interview a little strange. He admitted he had no alibies and that if he was the police he would think he did it. He said he was close to all five women and that they trusted him. He has had sex with all five and kind of acted like an unpaid pimp, ensuring their safety. If this was the case where was he when they were murdered. I must admit as soon as I read it I thought 'he did it!' Has anyone else read the interview and what do you think? Is it just coincidence that the Sunday Mirror prints this story and then a guy is arrested?

I graduated from Communication/Journalism program at a local college in May of 2006. I am originally from Turkey, which the 99% of the population is Muslim. It has been 7 months since my graduation and I am finding hard to find a job in the Media Industry. Lately, I am beginning to believe that the main reason for this could be because I am from Turkey and am a Muslim. How difficult is it for a Muslim-American to enter an industry that is predominantly run by the Jews in the United States? I would also like to know if there are any Muslim-Americans working in the Media Industry in US.

Or at least inadequately report on them?

I'm willing to listen to evidence that supports the premise, but I doubt such is the case. I know we can make suppositions about media motives, and so on, but it ultimately doesn't seem to be in the media's best interest to under cover such Muslims, noting that behavior helps to engender bigotry. I suppose there are cases of such ignorance, but I doubt there's a widespread policy to ignore the voices of peace and moderation. I wonder if some efforts to get those messages out aren't really as good as claimed.

What do you think?

In 1982, Time Magazine chose the computer as the "Person of the Year" and now Time Magazine has chosen its users in 2006 (you), as "Person of the Year".

From the men and women in the Armed Forces overseas, to the small town working man, everybody has had an influence on the future of the entire globe and will promote the future with blogs and comments.

How do you intend to celebrate the honor of being named "Person of the Year" by Time Magazine?

Do you feel as though the present and the future of humanity is with the computers?

Are the computers and the Internet influencing, the past, present and future of humanity by making the world and its people accessible to each other with all the blogging, interacting with different web sites, marketing/sales, politics, news, etc...?

Are the established newspapers and print media becoming dinosaurs in this ever faster and faster world of getting out the news to its readers?

A good trend or a bad trend?...

Your thoughts

When Im watching a show on CBS or NBC they put a little logo in the corner. Like CBS has that eye thingy and NBC has the peacock thing. But how do they stay on the camera? do they tape them on? Because they do a really good job of hiding whatever keeps it up? I thought that maybe they engrave it onto the screen, but sometimes it changes sides and goes of for commircials.

And like on CNN and FOX, they have the letters. How do they get the letters on the thing? Like they have those yellow letters moving from side to side? That's really cool, but how they do that without letters coming off screen?
