Let's face it...there's only three things that make up news...war, tragedy and scandal...same crap different day.

You'd think we could get something interesting for a change..you know INVESTIGATIVE journalism? Something education...oh wait those are called special features and they actually require time and money and good journalism.

CNN is the stupidest station of all...it's the most repetitive republican driven garbage and the American version of Al Jazira...(sp)...and anyone who wants to hear about Paris Hilton and see Brit's beaver over and over again is nothing but stupid...my guess is Oliver is the first one passing that one around.

Well thank you Doug, (and ladies) you seem to at least understand the question and that's exactly the point.

Yes, it is boring and I think a lot of it is because the people that are involved with news reporting aren't really journalists - they're just good looking people who can read. They're told what to think and what to say and those that do think for themselves feel the need to be "over the top" with the way they do things in order to get ratings. It's all absurd.

You should read the books "A Life on the Road" by Charles Kuralt and "Remembering Charles Kuralt" by Ralph Grizzle. Now there was a real journalist!

I don't think so. I am kind of a news addict. Yes, I agree I am tired of hearing about the war and all of the crap going on in the middle east. However, there are some really interesting stories going on right now. For instance, the serial killer in England, the 3 missing climbers on Mt. Hood, the poisoned spy murder case, the guy who was just killed by his pet boa constrictor, and the Miss USA partying scandal!

All make for good conversation!

News is not boring cause it is really what is going on out there. It may seem to drag on but the news is truthful and always informing anyone who wants to know the truth. Sad but true. I"m not a TV buff but i find I try and check out the news here and there

So what's the f**king question retard? You've answered it for yourself already and at the same time shown the world how dumb you are. Heaven forbid that YOU should be in that war zone or the tragedy occuring to you! That in itself IS a tragedy. Quite ironic in fact.
