To avoid having to pick between newsmakers?

I thought it was pretty cool. I think the cop out is the famous people. Too easy. We are the movers, the shakers, the deciders of who's famous, who's elected, who gets paid alot for making movies. And I love your avatar, Snowshoe.

1) Time's does justify their choice very well.
2) Who should have gotten it then? Its kind of hard to think of a stand-out in the crowd.
3) This isn't the first time Time has awarded a mass population, and one year the computer was awarded "Person of the Year". How silly was that.

I'm reminded of an ad several years ago for US News and World Report (a competing news magazine). It said, "If you want fluff, buy a pillow!"

This adage from US News seems as timely today as it was then!

I thought that a first but then when I listened to Time's reasoning for giving it to "you" it seemed very reasonable.
