Good grief, so many bitchy comments accusing Katie of being bitchy just because she didn't fall at the feet of Leona.
I didn't like her either, that style of singing is like nails down a blackboard to me, and Simon turned me completely off her with his constant gushing about her each week.
Ben, Robert, Ashley and Eton Road had more X Factor than Leona. The 'X' factor is meant to be the complete package, talent, ability, style, and yes,whether you like it or not, looks do play a part that's why Simon said Dionne looked like a boxer. it was hurtful but he was basing her X Factor on her looks.
Besides which it was all centred around a Leona win from day one, and now we've seen pictures in the press of Leona's daddy with Mr Cowell, and Leona dining out with the record executives in the summer, her win was hardly surprise of the decade was it?
I think it's outrageous the amount of comments made on here simply because someone expressed a negative opinion about a singer who won by default

The best person definately won. Ray went a little weird and OTT with his redic smile. Over confidence brings arrogance. Anyway, Leona has an amazing voice (makes up for her nose lol)

No. in simple terms cos she sounds like a celeb she gained. X-component is a shallow software for babies. she would be able to be dropped ultimately by her checklist lable while they have made sufficient funds off her. awaken human beings, it ain't approximately skills. She has much less personality then Ray. He was very loud & funny whilst she was sweet & shy & a little boring. He was a better performer & maybe u cd argue that this gives him the 'X-factor', however Leona clearly had a better voice- it was amazing!! Isn't singing the most important thing? As for who shd have won....it was too close to say for me. I liked them both!

I don't think it really matters what her personality or looks are like, she had the best voice of the night and thus deserved to win. I don't think she is worthy of comparison to Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey as her low notes and quiet range is particularly poor when singing live, but she is miles better than some of the rubbish we churn out in the pop industry these days. Good luck to her. She was in the right time at the right place.

You're not a very nice person are you? Leona was the deserved winner, she has a fantastic voice. Ray however hit so many flat notes throughout the series I was surprised he made it past the first week.

Was everyone watching a different show to me? She screeches through her songs and has patches of very dodgy tuning! Lets not forget that they were saying exactly the same about Shayne Ward last year and where is he now. Apparently big in Korea. At least Hass the Hoff is big somewhere like Germany!

Does it really matter who wins. After all as we've seen before this show is only a platform. It has been confirmed that Simon Cowell has signed Ray this morning. What's the big deal you're still gonna see both of them in the charts anyhow!

And your very shallow !That's the problem with "fame" isnt it ! The talent is her voice and what a voice ! Who gives a monkeys what she looks like ! Mick Jagger is the ugliest mother in the world but still made great music ! I hate the show coz she's just gonna be a corperate puppet and make Mr High trousers even richer while she gets pitance compared.

Ray is Eddie Munster who can only sing 'swing' (just about) ... boring as hell with a rather anoyin scouse accent. He's already had his turn at fame when staring in Brookside and obviously failed his acting career and now has failed in his singin career. Leona maybe shy but least she can sing and that is afterall what the competition is about! lol 'go Leona'
