Awww, the poor babies have to restructure and lay off employees! Oh WAAAH! That just breaks my heart. Did some of their advertisers finally wake up to what the NYT is? What ever will LIBERALS do if they lose precious column inches usually reserved for hate, slander of the president, posting classified information that damages national security, and many other sordid activities? They and their bastard stepsisters in LA (Times) and Washington (Post) aren't losing readers to the Internet, but rather credibility! Good, accurate, balanced, and unbiased REPORTING is not what NYT passes off as journalism. Perhaps they have folks who can string a sentence together, but how do they justify their lies and obvious one-sidedness? Maybe people are also tired of know-nothing columnists telling them how to live and what to believe. Bravo!

i hate how the news is constantly reporting about foreigners leaving lebanon. "vacationers evacuated.." who cares. if theyre going on vacation in a potential warzone,,they are just plain stupid, nobody should feel bad for them, and the news shouldnt bother reporting this crap. focus on the real issue, the total warfare thats going on. who cares if some french people had to leave..

Why do people in the U.S. and the U.S. media refer to the EU as Europe and the U.S. as America? Europe and America are continents, not countries, and using those names instead of the correct ones is both incorrect, insulting to other countries in those continents (being excluded as if they don't exist or aren't important) and misleading for those who have little geography knowledge.

All the time I come across U.S. citizens who don't have a clue that there are more countries in Europe than the EU countries and who think that the EU is one country made out of many states like the United States.

And in the media "Europe" is sometimes used for the entire continent and sometimes for the EU only, which just confuses people and misleads them. I can usually tell by the content which one is being referred to, but people who don't know Europe that well can't.

Why don't you use the correct names for places and avoid those unnecessary confusions?

Something obviously nonexistent. Take a look at the news reporting on the Lebanon-Israel conflict of recent days. Most so called "professional" journalist such as CNN's Anderson Cooper report so adamantly on the 24 casualties that Israel has suffered while failing to mention the destruction that Israel is causing to Lebanon. Not all Lebanese people belong to the Hezbollah; therefore, why is their country being destroyed and so many innocent people being killed? Is that not terrorism, destroying a country that cannot defend itself and killing civilians who have no other fault than to live in such country? What do you think?

Why are American Tv announcers far more attractive, sophisticated and better dressed that the english ones. They have better figures and their clothes are a lot better also. Some of our announcers have bad diction ..look frumpy....have bad clothing and hair styles. Why cant they tidy themselves up a bit?

While watching "Meet the Press," I've noticed that Tim Russert has difficulty reading notes, transcripts, etc., aloud without botching at least one word.

Does anyone know why?

The reporter first asked me how difficult it is for me to get around driving a fullsize SUV while gas is $3.00 a gallon. Then she asked me how I felt about gas stations keeping the prices so high. She wanted to put me on camera, but I told her that wasn't a great idea. I hate FOX. I was like "Are you serious? Haven't you people heard of inflation. Or are you really smart enough to figure that out, but are playing on the ignorance of the misguided public?" She said "I'm sorry to waste your time sir, thank you. Have a nice day." And then politely excused herself. Geeze they're like leeches.
