While watching "Meet the Press," I've noticed that Tim Russert has difficulty reading notes, transcripts, etc., aloud without botching at least one word.
Does anyone know why?

Tim Russert was originally a lawyer, both for the state of New York and as special counsel to the US Senate. He is an intelligent fellow, but not someone who set out for a career in on-air reporting, where male model good looks and a certain glibness tend to rank at least as high as any real news gathering talent. In addition to tripping over his tongue from time to time, you may have noticed that he is not a particularly handsome man.
