The internet has changed the way information is received but how accurate is it hom much should be reported and how much should be left out, when is too much reporting and when is too little, who decide what is reported and what is not; there are so many stories and sometimes the information seems to take a life of its own.

Or do you get all the information you need form the Internet/TV/radio?

And for entertainment?

Tell me more about wich magazines, newspapars,
sites
and TV channels and shows you prefer and why, please!

Which magazines are best for photojournalism? Pictures?

What do you recomend that I might be missing?

What do you read/watch daily? Weekly? Monthly? Now and then?

What do you buy? What do you borrow/share?

Do you read foreign magazines/newspapers/
sites and watch TV channels from other countries? Radio stations? Which ones?

Do you write letters to the magazines and newspapers you read, when you feel you have something important to say?

Do you write(or have ever written)articles to any publication? Which? When?

What do you do with magazines and newspapers after reading them? Do you give them to other people who can't buy them? Do you recicle the paper? Do you keep them for future reference?

Thank you for sharing your life with me!:

Sometimes you're local news will give an opinion but never national news. You know the world could probably be a better place if newsreporters gave their opinions on events that are bad! It would open up the conscious of people around the world who watch the news. For example, a newsreporter would say after her topic on a death. "When is it all going to end Bob? People need to stop all this nonsense. It's a shame the kind of bad things that happen all the time, we need to start trying to do something about it, Bob! Bob says, "Barbara, I totally agree with you it's a shame what goes on in the world today with the killings, rapes , kidnappings, etc." That right there is how newsreporters should be in my opinion. It would open up the conscious of people. Why newsreporters don't do this style of newsreporting?

There's another ad with an old woman blowing out the candles on a cake, with the number 90 on it- same advertiser, obviously, but there is no other indication as to who the advertiser is. Does anyone know anything about these ads, whose they are, what they're supposed to mean? I live in Ohio, in case that helps. thanks.

For example, one trait exhibited by legitimate news organizations is that when they print or read out "letters to the editor," they do not only select letters that agree with their take on things or praise them. They select both complimentary and critical letters. Moreover, when they do select critical letters, they do not reply with sarcasm, ad hominem attacks, a counter attack, or by rolling their eyes. In fact, they usually do not reply at all. They just let the readers or listeners decide for themselves whether the criticism is valid or not.

What are some other examples of traits the differentiate legitimate professional news organizations from news organizations run by spin doctors? Does taking a certain political position automatically render a news organization invalid, or is it how they express their position and how they react to those with a different position that renders them biased and hence illegitmate?
