Yes, but not as much as my pre-Internet days. For example, I used to get the newspaper daily but now have Sunday-only delivery. During the week I can easily get my news online (including newspaper websites) and via the BBC, NPR, etc.

Entertainment news can also be easily found on the net, including at one of my very favourite websites of all, IMDb (The Internet Movie Database). Sports news, too, is easily obtained online from a whole host of websites (ESPN being the best known).

Yipes! You're asking a million questions here, Moon, so don't shoot me if I neglect to answer all of them...

I read the Washington Post (that's my Sunday subscription, btw) both online and off. I also read the New York Times online. And I occasionally read the Annapolis Capital (the "Crapital" as it is known around here because it's so poorly written) for local news. I also read The Buffalo News (my old hometown), The Guardian (UK), The Times (UK) and The Globe and Mail (CA) online.

My favourite magazine by far is The New Yorker (a fantastic literary mag) but I also like Harper's, The New Republic and The Economist. Online I sometimes read Slate and Salon. As to television channels and radio stations, I get my news from the BBC World Service, NPR, PRI and, occasionally, from MSNBC (I love Keith Olbermann) and CNN.

The best magazines for photojournalism? I imagine Time, Newsweek and the usual suspects. I generally only read these whilst sitting in doctors' and dentists' waiting rooms. I can't really recommend anything you might be missing, Moon, because you've not illuminated us as to what YOU read, watch and listen to.

The BBC and NPR are definitely daily experiences for me, mainly via radio. The others I've listed are less frequent (The New Yorker is a weekly publication, for example). I buy the hard copy publications. I pay for nothing online. I borrow Harper's on occasion from my younger brother who happens to subscribe to it. I'll share my New Yorker with anyone inclined to read it. It's the best magazine in the world! :)

I've already listed my foreign news sources (mostly British and Canadian)... I do write letters to the editor and always expect them to be published, which they usually are. But I only write when I really feel moved to voice my opinion on some specific article which appeared or, sometimes, when something in the news or sporting world has me riled (incredibly rare, I know, lol). I've been published in some smaller publications you'd never have heard of and once, years ago, in The Buffalo News.

Unless someone has asked for them, I recycle my used newspapers and magazines. I generally don't keep them for future reference, though I sometimes keep a specific article for that purpose.

Um, I think I'm done... That was exhausting. Methinks I'll count your follow-up questions next time before committing to answering (you asked about two dozen questions here, btw). ;-)

I read magazines and newspapers for information. The magazine I read the most is BabyTalk. I have a four month old and there is great advice in it. When I am finished I cut out interesting/useful articles and recycle the rest.

I have ideas to write letters, but I never actually get there. I have fallen into the lazy American rut. Obviously, I am from the good of US of A and I speak English.

Oh, I would lot to publish and article. I have a degree in writing, but I can not find a job in it yet. Know of anyone looking for a writer/proofreader/editor?

I rarely read newspapers/magazines. I prefer getting my news online or via local news.

I watch tv, surf the net, and read alot. We also spend time with friends and go to an occasional film.

I surf our local newspaper's site, also Yahoo News, Fox News, CNN and during weather crisies, the weather channell and NOAA.

I will write letters to the editor from time to time

I had a short story pubished in 2001
