I'm talking about what MSNBC or CNN would consider boring. Traffic jams, bridges being built, elections, etc. Other than PBS.

seems UNFAIR

The thust of the piece is that Divorce is more painful,harder to reconcile than the death of a loved one.That with a death there's closure,wheras in a divorce since the person is still alive,it is in many ways more difficult to reconcile.
I'm not sure when this appeared in the New York Times.I would guess that is was no further back than 5 years;it possibly could have been published in the past 2 years.
I've searched the Times archives,have done Google searches using different combonations of key words,but I'm unable to find this piece.

You never see the words ' Israeli or Jew' in the same phrase as 'Terrorist'. Are there double standards here for Israeli's and Palestinian's?
You see the title 'terrorist' when a Palestinian suicide bomber does an attack and civilians are killed:
but whan the Israeli army bomb a house with a quarter ton bomb, kill a Militant, his wife, 7 sons and daughters aged 7 to 19;
when the Israeli army strike and kill an entire family of 7 except a small girl left crying next to the body of her father, on the Gaza beach;
when an Israeli missile rips into a family gathering while they sit in their back yard sipping tea and grilling corn, killing the mother, her 6 yr old daughter and 23 yr old son, you certainly don't hear the word 'Terrorists!!!'
All of the suffering + heartbreak is so sad for both sides.
My question is 'why', why is one classified a terrorist in the eyes of the worlds media, why is one propagated as a terrorist to the ears of the world, but not the other? Makes you wonder why

pete doherty continues to be the centre of attention and is on our tvs left right and centre. the british media love him.
then there is craig charles, who is set up by his driver, filmed taking hits in the privacy of his own car and is splashed all over the newspapers as some kind of monster.
why do we put up with these double standards?

Are all voices given an equal opportunity to be heard? I've heard people complain that their views are seldom or never represented in mainstream media.

Has it escaped the attention of the public that this is ongoing and has been for thousands of years? Is the public unaware that in the Middle East it is apparently customary to knock each other off like it's a national pastime?
