i hate how the news is constantly reporting about foreigners leaving lebanon. "vacationers evacuated.." who cares. if theyre going on vacation in a potential warzone,,they are just plain stupid, nobody should feel bad for them, and the news shouldnt bother reporting this crap. focus on the real issue, the total warfare thats going on. who cares if some french people had to leave..

I must say very good question, what bothers me the most is how the media will pic up this subject "after" all is done and have all the bleeding hearts in this country complain about how long the government took to evacuate those people just so they can sensationalize it on the news. If these people are dumb enough to go there then, and war breaks out we should not have to be responsible for them they made the choice. I can not understand why people would go to a country that has no respect for human life. If you want to holliday where life is not worth a plug nickle then your on your own plain and simple.

Beirut has been called "the Paris of the Middle East" for a reason. Until the Israelis started their campaign of terrorism and Syrian-backed Hezbollah got involved, Lebanon was a beautiful country.

On the other hand, it's just like the tsunami in 2004. Western countries and media don't give a damn about anyone other than their own. The Lebanese aren't "white" and some are muslim, so nobody cares about them.

The media needs to focus alright: point out the lies and expose Israel's terrorism.

Funny, the media was doing the same thing when the tsunamis hit South Asia....but most of the Americans vacationing there were white. Indonesia and Sri Lanka are countries that is marred by violence from time to time, but I didn't hear any comments like the ones you said here.

Is this really an anti-Arab comment?

Not all of them are vacationers. Many Americans and others live, work and attend school in Lebanon. Due to the increased threat, they are simply trying to save lives.

What the media is attempting to do is to pour gasoline on the fire. They have already painted Israel as the evil empire as they bomb the **** out of the poor innocent Lebanon women and children, (and men). They downplay Hezbollah and Hamas, the ones that these innocent women, children, (and men) of Lebanon support and cheer on, as they cross the border into Israel and kill/kidnap their soldiers.

The media is painting a picture of symphathy towards the terrorists. Yeah, they are being sly, but that is what their doing.

i totally agree with "MC Hummer". My sister's school teacher and Headteacher are Lebanese and they went there on summer vacation before all this **** happened, now when they wanted to get themselves and families out of Lebanon they can't because the israeli soldiers are surrounding them from air, land and sea.
Talk about the innocent being forced into this!

the reason why i think they are doing this is because they want people to realize how much deep s h i t Lebanon is going to be in because Israel is hopefully going to bomb the crap out of them
